I thought about going tonight, sitting in a hotel in Glen Mills PA, but few stars playing on either team so watching on TV. What would you have done?

without hazard pay...I wouldn't even consider it...

Its been awhile Hobbster..

exactly what you are doing. i will NEVER pay for tickets to a preseason game. if i ever find myself at one, it's because someone gifted me the ticket.

I got 4 free tickets and I gave them away. Like seeing the Steelers but not preseason AND $40 parking, $10 beers, no meaningful game plan, no Ben, no AB, new rules, etc.

Dittos. I only go to preseason games if I get free tickets.

Have they finished that horrible stadium yet.? It looks like they stole scraps from the Navy yard

I would have gone tonight if I still lived in Philly. Fans there will probably be much more chill after a SB win. Preseason, you have to remind them that it means nothing, and it's time to see the youngsters play!

I guess I'm an exception. I like to go to preseason games. Excuse to drink some beer and hang out with some Steeler fans for the day. As a matter of fact, wife and I are going to the Titan's game. I like watching the players on the roster bubble and guessing how it will turn out. Living in Maryland it is always a treat to come home and see the Pittsburgh Skyline.

I was visiting family so we decided to go and had a great time. Probably the most entertaining preseason game I've been to in years. A few observations from the game experience point of view:

People slow down for the tunnels in Pittsburgh, what's Philly's excuse for traffic. Over an hour to go 11 miles and we were in North Philly. Tack on the 30 minute subway ride and didn't make it there until deep into the first quarter.

The sports complex is pretty nice in the sense all of the stadiums are right there, but there's no atmosphere in the sea of parking lots. Really made me appreciate the area around Heinz Field even more (the restaurants, tailgating, and parks).

Lincoln Financial Field is the fourth modern stadium I've been to (Heinz Field, Ford Field, AT&T Stadium). It was a nice place, but I put it behind Heinz Field and Ford Field. We sat in the upper deck and man, it felt like we were a mile away from the action.

The fans were chill, as expected for a preseason game. No one cared that we had Steelers gear on or cheered.

Sound system was pretty quiet and hard to hear at times, but less music and ads during commercial breaks than Heinz Field, which was nice. The scoreboards felt very small, you just wanted to stretch them vertically and they only used a third of the entire thing to show replays.

The place is pretty lit after touchdowns. A ton of pyrotechnics after the touchdown and extra point. The only thing that was missing was some crazy stuff with LED lights like some stadiums have. But man, their Eagles fight song is annoying. Even if I was a fan of that team I'd get annoyed hearing that song after every touchdown.

I bet if you wore your Crosby jersey...it would of created a different ambiance...
