Butler firing up the troops

After listening to Butler say the Steelers need to learn to tackle and the Steelers need for the defense to step up I see a big blow out tonight. He can fire this team up with his comments for sure. Need to learn to tackle, played football all their lives and can't tackle. Hey maybe go out and find a COACH that can teach this. We have known for years this defense needs to step up. I see Super Bowl coming.

It isnt just a Steelers problem. It's an entire NFL problem. The amount teams are in pads for practice is small, there are less practices etc. The new CBA really put a handicap on teams hitting. The Steelers always have one of the most physical training camps. Hopefully this year it will make a difference.

I was all for outside the organization when he was promoted and it was just for this reason.

Can Munch teach our defense to tackle? He sure as hell can teach our OL to block!

You have to teach it. It's obviously become a lost art they should have learned at the peewee level. The best upgrade they could do to this defense without adding anyone.

Speaking as a youth football coach you can work a hell of a lot on your tackling without running Okie or taking anyone to the ground at all. Its all rehearsal from every possible angle. And you can allow good heads up thud contact without getting people hurt.
