Bell working on his hand strength

I actually think Bell is pretty smart. The stereotype is running backs are undereducated, score poorly on the Wonderlic IQ test, and often are not well spoken.

Bell speaks well on his behalf. It's his wisdom and character that are lacking to me, not his intelligence.

Very few good things happen in a strip joint at 2:00 AM in the morning. To put it on social media in a day and age where the NFL is very concerned about the treatment of women, especially when you're about to sign a one year 14.5 million dollar deal, and hit free agency in 2019 with an existing suspension under your belt. Just wow.

I just hope Bell stays in shape and can test clean. With the sensitivity drug testing these days, one could test positive just by breathing in the air at these establishments. Okay, just a bit of sarcasm on that last point. !

How about his "rapper" friends or just friends in general who smoke the Goncha while he is present................ could lead to a positive test................... That has been a fear of reality with him while on the two strike situation. "but bbbuut I swear I didn't inhale"

Salute the nation

Yup. If baseball players can get shamed for insensitive tweets in high school 7 years ago, I wonder what backlash Bell gets for this...

Will Le'Veon Bell's late night behavior lead to Steelers pulling his franchise tag?

https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/2...-behavior-steelers-pulling-his-franchise-tag/

Reports are currently being circulated widely concerning questionable late night behavior by Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell. On the first read, it appears to simply reveal one choice of Bell’s for social entertainment. On the other hand, what if the Steelers’ owners and front office feel strongly that the reports reflect poorly on the team’s public image?

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has recently come under sharp criticism about his perceived “loose” player management regarding off-field behaviors that might affect the team’s focus on football or the public’s perception of the team or its players. Although Bell has yet to sign the franchise tag and thus is not a Steeler technically, could these reports be the proverbial straw that leads to his tag being pulled?

Consider Bell’s situation.

He recently turned down the Steelers’ five-year, $70 million offer, presumably choosing to play the 2018 season on a one-year franchise tag. However, multiple articles questioning Bell’s logic in rejecting the deal appeared on the internet immediately after he squelched it. They all made the same good points.

Bell is 26 years old. Had he accepted the Steelers’ offer, he would have been 31 in its final year. Next season, he’ll be another year older with potentially another 300 total touches (and their consequent tackles) battering his body. Therefore, while future teams might offer Bell a contract with its initial years guaranteed, they’re unlikely to commit to paying him anything in its final years. The average career length of an NFL running back is 2.57 years. Bell has already played five and suffered one major knee injury.

Moreover, every play of every game in 2018 represents a very real chance of suffering a career destroying injury. If so, he can wave goodbye to future millions.

Having turned down the Steelers’ long-term offer, Bell’s only contractual option for playing in 2018 is to sign a one-year, $14.54 million franchise tag. If he now wishes he could sign a long-term deal this summer, rather than hoping he stays healthy throughout a 16-game season and can then convince NFL GMs that he’ll remain his All-Pro self in five more years, he needs the Steelers to pull the tag. Only thus can he and his agent shop his services now while potential buyers know he’s healthy and know he hasn’t been battered by another year of NFL wear and tear.

In light of Bell’s late night behavior, the question that intrigues me is this:

If
Bell wanted the Steelers to make him an unrestricted free agent by pulling the franchise tag immediately – while he still has time to join another team in training camp and while they still have the cap space needed to pay him what he wants – how better could he force their hand than by embarrassing the team publicly?

I would be shocked if they pulled the tag for Bell going to a titty bar. I guarantee over half (being conservative here) of the NFL players go to titty bars.

More than likely they do, but the issue with some fans is his team in Latrobe preparing for the season, he is in a strip club and it's plastered over social media. I can't see them pulling the tag either, but I can see why there is a conversation about it.

Yeah he may want to wash his hands. I'm sure about 30 other pairs of hands rubbed all over that thing before him. Barf. Whatever floats your boat homie.

Bell will not be released, I will put money on it.

My odds of that happening would go down if Conner or Samlues looks good in the first two pre-season games, and Bell is still unsigned posting his look at me lifestyle on twitter.

I so wish the Steelers spent 14.5 million elsewhere, or were able to work out a sign and trade prior to the draft.

We are NOT pulling the tag. Period. If we did, he would be free to sign with ANYONE, correct? The *s would be all over him like he was on that fat ***.

All it would tag to pull the tag is for an altercation with a women or video of Bell doing something questionable to somebody else. That's not to far fetched.

That's a floppy *** right there. I'd be highly disappointed if I went into a strip club and that came out.
But yeah, I'd hit it.

I guess people thought he was spending his time splitting atoms. Much ado about nothing.

NFL players are all full of testosterone, so we know a large bunch of them go to strip joints, I am sure. Except, you do not see many other players of his caliber FILM themselves fondling a bare ***. And seeing as how he has had issues with banned substances in the past, you gotta ask yourself, is he TRYING to get the Steelers to pull the tag? He is no dummy that is for sure, so why would he do this now?

It isn't illegal to go to a strip bar. Many NFL players do it.

I'm just glad he didn't make it rain, and no bouncers ended their night paralyzed from a gunshot wound...

You're one of those holding others to high standards, arent you? /sarc

Our players have a higher standard than that. It's the Rooney Way. ;)

It’s not about his right to go to a strip club or any other ridiculous reason I’ve been reading here.
It’s about not putting yourself in a highly risky environment where he has everything to lose and positively nothing to gain. The others at that club have nothing to lose and if a fight were to break out where he gets injured or worse, was it worth it then so you could be paste your picture on social media.
If you’re not going to show up until a few days before the season, please don’t put yourself at risk for bodily harm. The guy is an attention ***** and not very smart or responsible.

Hines Ward once famously said that "Nothing good happens after midnight". This was not long before he was pulled over at 3:00 am for DUI with a woman who was not Mrs. Ward.
