Martavis Bryant might be in trouble yet again

The drama, absolutely 100% yes. His skills as a football player will be missed but there is a reason we've drafted WRs in the 2nd round two years in a row.

His skills will be missed when he's out there giving full effort. There were more than a few cases last year when he didn't look to have the same speed or focus on the field that he had in the past.

Stupid if true, one solid year along with staying clean and Martavis would have himself a nice contract. Now his career could be in jeopardy.

I love to smoke weed. I could give it up so easily for so much less than a vet minimum paycheck. I'd give up any manner of things I enjoy for Bryant's annual salary...

I dont think this is about him loving weed. Im thinking this is mental health. Im not excusing him. In fact the opposite. Im just glad he is gone. Would have been nice if it worked out but like Ron said addition by subtraction.

Bryant gets what he deserves. And that is this. That's what he also gets for crying about playing time and saying he is better than AB. What a joke.

I figured this was going to happen but didn't think it would happen this soon. Pissing away millions.

I honestly think he was clean here. Put him in Vegas Baby, and I'm sure the party lifestyle is too much for him to stay sober. It still sucks that you get suspended for a substance that will not improve your performance at all, but hey, big pharma has their hands in the NFL and would rather have the players addicted to opiods...

Bryant is like Gordon, only that he will be suspended for a year...twice. Gordon is a far superior receiver and would be a league leader if he stayed healthy and clean. Bryant would only lead the league in drops.

If he's suspended, it's already a fantastic trade. If Rudolph becomes a pro bowler, it will go down as one of the most lopsided trades in history!

And per NFL rules, Bryant's next suspension is a year off, and requiring league approval to return.

Can someone on this FORUM remind me who said how will we replace Bryant?

I was thinking about that Bettis trade, how the Bryant one can rival that if not rise above it. Because i thought it was crazy for someone to give up the value the raiders did. And if Rudolph evolves into a franchise it will go down as the best Steelers trade ever. Still a lot of ifs, but the potential is beginning to spin its wheels.

And I said it before about Vegas. I lived there, I left. If you are a unsettled person, that town is like throwing gasoline on the fire.

I expected the fit to not be a good one. But I was surprised like others that it reared its ugly face so quickly.

“Just by handling my business as a man,” Bryant said. “It’s not my first rodeo. I’ve had my difficulties in my past, but I’ve come a long way from that. It’s all about keeping the right resources around me and continuing to stay on the right path. I’m going to make sure I get that done.”

People questioned that move. Im not certain how the picks rolled out but I think one might be able to say tge Steelers stole a guy who could be their future qb literally for nothing.

Who the **** questioned that move? Everybody with 2 neurons knew that a 3rd for him was robbery.

There was a handful that thought it was a horrible trade.

He said last year, “I want mines”. You’re gonna get it brother! Million dollar talent and 10 cent brain. ******’ moron!

I personally hated the fact we just handed him the starting number 2 WR job. I would have made his *** earn it after sitting out a freak'n year.

Such huge opportunities.... Such dumb *****.

Stay clean and get paid.

Smoke pot and be a flunkie

It's very comparable to the Holmes trade. The Steelers wanted to get rid of a troubled receiver and moved him for a fifth. During the draft, they flip the pick from the Jets for Bryant McFadden and a sixth, in which they used on Antonio Brown.

Bryant brought in a third (still can't believe that) and they packaged that with a seventh (Ross Cockrell trade, I believe) to move up to draft Rudolph. We can all hope it goes down like the trade for Bettis and shipping Holmes out.

The Bettis trade will be the biggest trade ever for the Steelers. Unless Rudolph ends up being a HOFer too!

I dont think many doubted the value. Lots felt it was a big drop of talent.

He has more talent, but didn't do dick last season and was one puff away from another year long suspension. I'd be willing to bet that Washington will do more, with less speed and size.
