All Good Between Big Ben and Mason Rudolph?

Gilbert was hurt that didnt help.. Ben wasnt Ben til the second half of the year didnt help.. he was wasnt himself at the start.
A guy that wants 17 million should be able to overcome that. Ben had a 95 and a 105 eating the first two weeks and 4 games of 95 or higher in the first 7 games.

YET you want to pay him full price doubled. You just said he was the "straw" so why does he need everyone else stirring????? Bottom line is double the next RB WAGES IS JUST TO MUCH FOR THIS TEAM, The beloved PITTSBURGH STEELERS to afford. He will make his exit at end of season and I just hope he is honorable in doing so. I realize there are a lot of variable and cost is one of them. DOES he deserve the high $$$$$$$ salary, that is up to whoever is willing to pay him. Even though he is GREAT, his asking price is to steep for me considering the status of SUSPENTION / injury / hold out (not here regardless of) / attitude towards and about the me me me........... At 14.2mil when he is leading the league in yards.. Will I be surprised, NO I will be expecting that for the cost he is being paid and ANYTHING short of a rushing title is underachievement by him.

Those are Ben stats early he was not playing well. He was average. Those are avergage stats for a Franchise QB in a passing league with the offense running thru him.

Why does it come back to Ben? If Bell is so good?
Bell had 10 carries for 32 yards in week one, Ben had a 95 rating.
Week two he averaged 3.2 ypc and had 4 receiving yards, Ben had a 105 rating.

Yeah that screams more towards Bell than Ben statistically. One could argue Bell was below average in comparison.

Ben is just a game manager.

When was any anyone saying bell was good the first four weeks we already established he wasnt in football shape.

My contention was we had more then enough others to depend on til he worked himself back

If Bell is so good lol. Why if we run a passing offense thru Ben didnt he put up better stats. Bell wasnt in shape so we leaned on the pass. Where are the stats? Not just passer ratings TDs points.. nothing was in sync.. thru the lions game Ben had 10 tds 9 picks. Why do i bring up Ben because we run the offense thru him. Do we not?

And with the 12 million he had lasr year he was one game that he sat out even with the self induded slow start from leading the league in rushing. So what your problem with him again?

I don't have any personal problems with him but if you are the highest paid RB in the league and demand more $$$$$ to the near + double of next closest RB, then I expect more and nothing short of the title of being the best. SHOW UP AND DON"T BE "not in game shape" then you can acheive the things needed. He will be gone due to affordability and yes,...we will lose a very good talent / athletic ability but I won't miss his persona at all. Pretty simple math, PRICED OUT.

Where does it say he has to accept that? What rule is it? He has every right to seek to change that..only one person will be affected. HIM..the steelers will move on..**** they may have already. I like the potential of Samuels alot.

Flip of the coin, where does it say any team will give him what he thinks his value is?

This is pure supply and demand economics here, the Steelers know this, and next year we'll see if the rest of the league knows it.

Guys let’s not pretend Colbert offered peanuts here. Bell turned down before the draft a contract that would have given him 15 mil per year for two years and 13.3 for the 3rd year.....42 mil guaranteed. What was LeVeon’s asking price last July? 15 mil/yr. He was offered that three months ago and turned it down........because he now wants 17.

LeVeon is a fantastic player, maybe a generational one. But he has refused a contract that doubles the market. Asking for what Gurley, Johnson, etc..will be getting BEFORE they do is beyond being rational. I know his agent is probably shaking his head.

It doesnt al all..he could get to free agency and get nowhere near what he is asking. I doubt it buti dont deny it could happen. And guess what thats on him. He bet on himself and it didnt work out. Oh well.. but he has that right too. Only person its affecting is him.

Not sure i understand why not..he is asking for what is coming. The fact that the steelers franchised him twice at numbers almost double tells you its coming..somebody has to be first. He is saying why not me..somebody has to get the ball rolling..

But showing up is not in good business sense for himself. The % of being injured goes way up being in camp or OTAs. He isnt making this up its in the CBA approved by players and owners that he doesnt have to show up til he signs. So he will get in the best shape he can and report week one.

I can care less about persona off field. As long as 100% is given on it..

Showing up out of shape and not ready to go will not be good business sense either

Hes in shape he just isnt in football shape. Something you cant simulate. But there isnt a way around it. The risk of injury is too great.. so he will start slow again. Just like last year when he ended up almost leading the league in rushing.. so if he does that again who cares..

I'd rather he be in camp, but i get why he's not, but I'm saying he needs to come into the season in better shape than last year

There is no better shape then last year because you cant replicate playing football in pads.. id rather he be there too especially with the new playbook

Maybe the QB / whole OL / starting TE / Washington / about 2/3rds of the "D" / place kicker (punter & LS need to be in camp) / the rest need to be in camp!!!!!! Wouldn't want an injury coming around in a waste of practice...................

I'm saying LeVeon Bell is a very good RB who can catch (NOT regular WR) who is in the gamble of his life. Either he will get paid or not but probably gone from the STEELERS. YES it is a big gamble and many here thin k he should have settled for the 15mil. It's not a question on who is right or who is wrong as BELL will either love his decision or he will HATE it, time will tell. I wish him luck but hope the STEELERS don't bend into the cap hell that is inevitable.

That makes zero sense..They are under contract and obligated to attend.

What does it matter what many think?? It only matters what he thinks. I wish he would of taken the Steelers offer..but he didnt and can understand why? More power to him.. and i truly dont understand this cap hell..the cap is going up again. Will for ahwile.. who else on this team deserves a huge deal??
