Everyone knows the team needed DEFENSE, yet 3 of our first 4 picks went to the offens

With Harrison gone we have no legitimate feared edge rushers so we'll be going full dime packages 90% of the time.

Do you know how many years it has been since James Harrison has been a feared edge rusher? It's been like 7 years Spike.

Browns new WR

Antonio Callaway

Callaway tested positive for marijuana at the NFL combine. He was also suspended all of last season by the Gators for allegedly using stolen credit card information to fund bookstore accounts, and he was cited in May 2017 for misdemeanor marijuana possession and possession of drug equipment during a traffic stop.

He was cleared of sexual assault allegations by a Title IX hearing officer in August 2016.

This was the funniest part of the article

According to the hearing officer's ruling, Callaway testified that he was "high on marijuana" during the encounter with the woman and stated that he was "so stoned I had no interest in having sex with anyone."

SOME CLAY FOR MUNCHAK TO MOLD
Another goal the Steelers had for the second day of this draft was to add a developmental prospect at tackle to create competition to fill the void created by Chris Hubbard leaving as an unrestricted free agent. They took care of that when they added Chukes Okorafor with their second pick of the third round, the 92nd overall selection of this draft.

Okorafor, 6-6, 320, was born in Nigeria and wasn't exposed to football until his sophomore year in high school in Southfield, Michigan. A couple of years later, he was ranked the No. 11 high school recruit in the state, and he ended up with a scholarship to Western Michigan, where he started 39 games. Now, Okorafor gets a chance to learn from one of the all-time greats, a Hall of Fame player and a renowned position coach.

"He's had, I guess three or four years of playing offensive line," said offensive line coach Mike Munchak, "so they've done a nice job with him and he's developed nicely. And you see him get better each year, each time out there playing, because it is new to him and that's kind of exciting for me because you get a guy who doesn't have a whole lot of bad habits. Chukes got away with things because of his size, his arms, his strength, those type of things which lets you know he's not even close to being developed the way he can be. So, I'm just real excited about all the upside he has and looking forward to working with him and teaching him our technique, teaching him how we do things. And the group we have in that room will be great for him. They will teach him the game in a lot of ways, how to prepare, how to work, the work ethic. We have great leaders in our room with [Maurkice] Pouncey and those guys, David [DeCastro], Ramon [Foster], who will be great for a young guy like this. I think they are going to really like him, and I think he will just add another element to our room with competition.

WTF does he know.

We don't reach we go best available .. What's best for fans may not be best for the team.. Because we needed Ilb doesn't seem mean we need everyone of them who they limed wasn't available maybe they only liked the first 5.. Yes our defense was weak... But our offense GROSSLY underachieved ... They expect the offense to carry the team IMO ... Colbert is a great GM.. Thankfully he doesn't draft like a fan... BTW we have all 22 starters in place ... We are drafting for depth and sub packages... Because we are that good at this point..

A developmental prospect at OL on day two when some quality pieces on D could get us a ring while Ben is still here? There is an overconfidence/complacency in this draft.

It is covering their *** after letting a important rotational OLineman go elsewhere in free agency. Perhaps that helps Ben stay upright while he is still here.

I wouldn't say we are that good. But they did fill starting holes in free agency. So that who they drafted could earn their way on the field.

They replaced the departures and tried to upgrade some depth.

ILBer in the draft they saw limited attractive value. so they didn't force it.

I would like them to cut Wilcox restructure a few more contracts. And then look for a ILBer and possibly a OLBer.

Especially ILBer. That would further solidify depth.

We'll these guys get paid to KNOW what their doing. Maybe before we talk to much **** we should see what they do the rest of the off season. We can still get good trades. Let's keep our hopes up for our team.

Can't underestimate the current scarcity of OTs league wide. We all questioned why Chris Hubbard was even on the 53-man roster a couple years ago and now he's making a gazillion dollars. We have the best OL coach in the NFL...keep feeding him talent and we'll be one of the very few teams that isn't mortified at its lack of depth on the O-line.

As always I will withhold judgement on the draft class for 2-3 years. Anything else is just a guessing game.

Everyone keep looking for ilb. We need the right one not just anyone.. That's why we taking these safeties in our sub packages which is 70% of the time these safeties can play that role.. Burnett, Edmund's Allen all good size and speed.. They are expected to do the same functions as shazier... I am not comparing them to shazier cause he's a special talent but If anyone pays attention to our schemes we will have them on the field..

You look at it this is a passing league. Spence was exposed in coverage. Two injuries contributed to that even being a possibility. But these S's can fill areas that I felt should have been filled with S's all along. But they had a declining Mitchell, declining Gay. A not so Golden S, and Wilcox that simply showed he wasn't that good.

So it was hard to throw a S in when they had a handful of ****.

We are still searching for the next Troy.

Cant say as i blame them, on a defense with zero playmakers, we need to try.

These safties we have should do the jobs there asked to.. We were looking at safeties with similar size and speed to shazier.. (Similar) we will be OK.. It's all about schemes and not necessarily positions

I think so, too. Also they provide us with a lot of depth if they can play. That's always a good thing especially for the pass happy offenses like New Orleans, New England, etc.

We were 13-3.. an injury or a bad call (Jesse James) away from things being much different.. We were that good.. Why else are we picking 28th instead of 8th

That good would have at least made it to the AFC championship.

That D was exposed throughout the year in the run D as well as the pass D.

You are thinking one game made a difference when they had every opportunity to advance in the playoffs

and didn't.

They were sloppy on O to start the game as well.

They have the potential to be THAT GOOD, but until that yields results

they weren't.

If we're talking overall scope.. We have 3 maybe 4 allpro on offense a least 2 are the best in the league at thee positions.. We went afc championship year before fell 1 game short last year won division 3 outta last 4. How many games did the expectations of the offense fall short?? Easy to blame the defense.. But the offense is our bread and butter now.. Our defense just needs to communicate and tackle better IMO ..but our offense HAS TO live up to expectations no excuse for that..

40 some points against won't win you many championships.

A lot of people here are forgetting we lost our #1 and #2 RILB in the same game. We were left with #3 Fort trying to make plays, picked up a street FA Spence #4, and had Moats trying to switch for depth as #5. If Big Red was healthy, our run D would have been much better down the stretch.
