Martavis Bryant, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

The noise around this situation has died down since October, when Bryant’s trade demands became public. But with one year left on his contract, Bryant is still hoping to find a situation that gives him a chance to function as a team’s No. 1 option. That’s not going to happen with Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell in Pittsburgh, obviously, and Pittsburgh has been quietly listening to offers over the past couple of months. Part of the holdup has been that some of the league’s more receiver-needy teams, such as Baltimore and New England, are rivals to whom the Steelers wouldn’t want to trade such a talented player. Pittsburgh is a win-now team that believes Bryant can help it win in 2018, so the offer has to be good.

The emergence of JU-JU makes Bryant tradable. He has a low cap number.

If offered a high 2nd round pick, I'd do it. Bryant could be tough to re-sign.

We could have a draft like this if such a situation came to us

1 ) ILB Vander Esch
2A ) RB Sony Michel or Chubb ( traded pick ). About 13 million a year cheaper than Bell.
2B ) S Bates
3 ) WR - BPA on the board.

Would you trade a high 2nd round pick for a guy who was suspended a whole season for drug use like Bryant was? I sure in the hell wouldn't.

I agree that the offer would have to be great because I think Martavis as our 2/3 can win us a SB this season.

So if we could get a 1 or a high 2, and find a way to bring in Dez for that one year deal he is looking for, then I say do it. **** it

There are 14 teams picking him in round one and this is a very average WR draft. If trading Bryant means we get the 2nd or 3rd RB taken ( Round two pick ) , we should do it. Bell won't be tagged a 3rd time, and will sign for the most money next year.

I'd say no to round three or later. Round two depends on who is on the board.

Trade martavis to cleveland for 4th overall. Then we get Barkley. Then trade bell for 2 1st rounders then fix defense or something.

No i am not serious

I bet if we threw in Landry Jones, we could get the 1st AND 4th overall from Cleveland. If we offer Fu, maybe we can get a 2nd rounder too!

I honestly don't think anybody would give up a 2nd for him, but some teams *cough Cleveland* have done dumber things.

If no one will give up a high 2nd or better for him, just keep him, because that's about what he's worth to this offense

We would be LUCKY to get a 3rd for him.
Not sure it's a good idea since he will make pretty good money and get us a 4th comp pick following his departure.
He could be a large piece to what we do next year in terms of downfield threats.

Now, if the 3rd is early in the round and we already took a WR in rd 2, I would consider it.

Enough of the bullshit trade talk, we need him for one more year

could we trade him for a fourth round pick and select a punter?

Dude do you even understand what you're saying? Ain't no one trading for a proverbial pothead when they can draft a WR and have him under a rookie contract for 4-5 years and not have the headache that Bryant brings with his no strikes left status brings.

We traded Santonio Holmes, a Super Bowl MVP, for a 5th round pick. Ain't trading Bryant for a 2nd. Just stop with your utter nonsense.

I remember when the Steelers didn’t jump on the Emanuel Sanders compensation when the Pats signed him to that ludicrous offer sheet. If the Pats give up a first round pick for him take it.

Might be the wrong forum for the comment I'm about to make but a certain POTUS would say this is Fake News. Too many talking heads on tv. I literally don't listen to a single second of what these folks have to say. Let me watch my game. Don't want to see all the "expert" analysis.

No one is giving up a 2nd round pick for Bryant. He’s one failed drug test from being gone for good. Besides, we need him to win #7 then next year he will get rich with someone else.

Bryant still has to prove he is over his problems of life before anyone would give up a second round pick.

Coach would trade half our team away if he could.

I sit here still trying to figure out what a "Specualtes" is.

It must be some-sort of noun as it is capitalized.

:lock1:

I think the absolute best you're going to do is to get the opportunity to move from the bottom part of the 3rd to the upper part of the third by including him. Would have to be someone there we really liked in order to make that move.

That would also leave a big hole at wide receiver. The Steelers have nothing outside of their top 3.
