Steelers can change the landscape of the NFL, as the 3 pointer changed the NBA

Just stop fighting it.....Let's roll with our strength......OFFENSE

All the mock drafts & debates of drafting offense versus defense got me thinking........I think we SHOULD DRAFT MORE OFFENSE....Get a TE, WR, AND & another pass catching RB (The Guice?) in the first 3 rounds......Yes, I said it....FIRST THREE

Let's revolutionalize the NFL like the Golden State Warriors, & now the Houston Rockets have revolutionized the NBA

We have an offense which can be historic.....It is there...The NBA has changed dramatically into a run and gun 3 point shooting league & defense while important, still does not dominate the end result. You just need a "decent" D....The Steelers can do the same thing in the NFL....Time to use our weapons correctly....

Screw it....It is time to just light up the scoreboard. Let's just go all in on the offense this year.....Let's score 35-50 a game and just out gun everyone. Let's put a few 50 spots up this year....Our D will be good enough to hold them to 20-25 a game as it is today...

Put Ben in the Shot-gun AND no huddle and go 4-5 wide...Oh and let's put 2 RB's who can catch the ball in on about 25-50% of our plays.....Bell & Guice.....Ring the Bell & drink some Guice...

Teams could not stop us, they will have no clue where the ball is going......Let's just march up and down the field & score sixes in groves, & go for 2 point conversions all day long.....Let's go for it all day long on 4th and 2 from our own 38...Yes, I said THAT

An offense so prolific that a functional D would be more than enough...

Stop fighting it. 5 WIDE *******........

Done......It was an easy switch....

As far as your original post, I get it. The pizazz & excitement our high-powered offense provides, I love it too. Sure, we should be always looking to add to the talent we have surrounding Big Ben. But all I'm going to say is we scored 42 pts against the Jags and got ****-canned right out of the playoffs.

I'll stubbornly stay old school and argue we need to get back to playing fundamentally sound defense and that's where the focus of this draft should be. Particularly having lost our most talented chess piece in Ryan Shazier.

The problem was we played from behind the whole game....I knew that game would come up....I never felt we were in the JAGS game....We were on our heels the whole game...

Sure, then take a step back and purvey the entire season. How much more offense do you want? We had the #3 overall offense, the #3 passing offense, and the #8 scoring offense in the NFL.

#1 and #1 Make offense great again MOGA!

And on the other side on defense 28th in total yards, 28th vs pass, 22nd vs run. 26th scoring D. Ouch.

Keith Butler has his work cut out for him. Colbert/Tomlin need to add some talent to help him out. That's what I'm most looking forward to seeing Thurs night and through seven rounds of the draft.

Plus I love watching defensive football, always have. Love the big stops, big hits, sacks, interceptions, all of it. Nothing better than a tough Steelers D. Would be nice to start seeing some of that again.

Just because it makes me feel good. And we need more of this on offense. And, yeah, I know about the Heinz Ward Rule ... But that hit was EPIC

Spike is that you?

sorry we need a semi balanced team. At least be able to hold them under 30.

Beat me to it..............................

Salute the nation

WOW. Football sucks now. Who wants to watch a game where we patty cake and don't play defense. They do this every year and it sucks. Its Called the Pro Bowl.

Stick with Basketball SteveA

I'd rather have a shut down D like we did in 1976

That's tough we were a top 5-10 D in most stats before Shazier went down.

Not trying to make you look bad but prove it. We gave up Fournette !81 yards rushing WITH Shazier and they ran the same offense and ran over us.

All offense light defense strategy already been done, several times. It’s cyclical. Last prolific offense of this type was the Greatest Show on Turf. Only lasts as long as the players. Defenses always figures out players.

More defense! Tackle well! They had all of the tools to make magic last year and ended up 1 and done.

Not looking forward to the new rule being implemented...

That's what is going to change the game. JMO.

Not prolific by any means....Not a historic offense at all. We are a couple pieces away

On offense, where?

Rookie QB > Ben? Nope
Rookie RB > Bell? Nope
Rookie FB > Nix? Nope
Rookie WR > Brown, Bryant, Smith-Schuster? Nope
Rookie TE > McDonald? Nope
Rookie OL > our starting 5 OL? Nope

What pieces do you want to add to already one of the most prolific O's in the league? Who is going to come in as a rookie and make a difference?

The polar opposite is true on D. You add a top shelf ILB, S and/or D-lineman and you're going to help shore up the ranks immediately.

I agree. IDK what else you can do. Who else you can draft this year that will be a game changer?

Maybe steveA thinks if the Steelers really really really try harder and CONCENTRATE on scoring.. We can just out gun everyone.

I think you could upgrade TE and Bryant. Right now, I'd rather have Auden Tate than Bryant.
