I have liked Harrison, just a part of me thinks he is only a SS. I think Bates and Reid are more suited for FS. And I am not sold on Davis being a FS.

Other than that I like the player.

Yes, that's the general impression. I think Harrison is a bit more multi-dimensional than that and is more fluid and better in space than given credit for. He's an exceptional athlete who I think can play multiple roles in our D.

Having said that, I'd welcome drafting any one of the top 4-5 safeties, seems to be nice talent in that group.

LVE in Rd. 1 and stick with Gesicki in Rd. 2 and Baker in Rd. 3.

I hear you have to draft his neck brace in round 7, So we can brace ourselves for his high bust potential.

This is a pretty draft to trade back, lot of interesting players available in the 2nd round.

Reid
Gesicki
Baker

Safeties were taken too early, had to secure Reid

That's OK. The Steelers team doctors have no concerns so neither do I.

oh they told you no concerns?

like through email or voicemail, or did they text you over dinner?

That mock goes against just about every other which has LVE and Evans going in the first.

No but one of the PG writers had it in his chat within the last week. Might have been yesterday.

So when he's there at 1:28 and they pass, it will be for reasons other than the neck. Good to know. :peep:

I think it was last year that everyone was passing on what seemed to have been a 1st round talent (DL, maybe?). Many here thought the FO was stupid to keep passing on the guy. Turns out that there were some knee issues that appeared to be common knowledge to the teams and which the public had no idea existed. I cant even remember who that was, now. Probably, became a star.

I doubt they would pass on him unless it's for Evans. Then again, as I've said before, any pick in the 1st round this year, even a QB, really wouldn't surprise me. It could be Guice and they could send a huge message to Bell that contract negotiations are over.

that was the DT from Notre Dame...
Louis Nix. 3rd round.
currently a free agent.
rostered by 4 teams in 3 years.
zero stats accumulated

makes Dri Archer look like a god.

I don't mock this draft at all. Love the picks!

I'd be happy with original poster's picks. I'm getting antsy for the draft to see how it actually plays out.

I'm ok with Harrison. I can't see taking the TE from Penn State (which I know a lot of you yinzers are polishing the bishop over), and would take either Hughes, Nwosu, Settles or even Anthony Miller. I don't believe Gesicki would be the BAA at that time, nor would he be most beneficial to our team as the others I listed would be. I'd take Baker in the 3rd, or Genard Avery.

1. Harrison
2. Hughes / Nwosu / Settles / Miller
3. Baker / Avery

wow, cant believe it was that long ago. Thanks!

This is something no one should forget as it is a perfect example of the public having imperfect information. I'm sure ours wasnt the only one going crazy when he kept getting passed on.

OK did I miss something? why the hell would you pass on Barkley and take Chubb??????
