UNLESS it's a big $$$$ fully gauranteed multi-year contract, LeVeon Bell isn't signing anything. He will sign the franchise tag week of starting season and he will wait so long so as to NOT give any advantage to the STEELERS. Most teams will be set at that point so a trade will be little interest to most teams. LeVeon may not even show up until week 10 just to make it an official year so he is off the hook. THESE are just some of how it could play out, I truly hope they agree to something one way or the other. TEAM FIRST.

He's going to make 14 million when he gets tagged. Horrible. He may as well go work at McDonald's for that kind of chump change. Hey if he gains 2000 total yards on the year he will only make $7000 per yard. I'd just sit out...grin

Tag him and try to work out a deal. But if there is a back we like in the draft in rounds 2 or 3 they should move in that direction for 2019 onward. Whatever we do, don't pull the tag after issuing it. Then you don't get a comp pick.

Where do you think that "Comp." pick will fall into.........what round, 3rd or 4th maybe?????? I see the TAG being applied and I think that is our only way to make it all work and still get help at S & ILB.

Bell signing long term is a fantasy. He was always going to be tagged. He showed last year that he has unrealistic salary aspirations, that the Steelers are unwilling to pay.

He's lucky to get Tag money. With his very mediocre 4.0 yards per carry and very few long plays, I contend many NFL backs could do the same or better for a lot less.

I contend you are absolutely wrong. I think his yards per carry had as much to do with Haley’s abysmal play calling as it had to do with Bell himself and you totally discount his impact in the passing game which as god as it was, was still negatively impacted by the playcalling as well.

WE need players with desire to win not sending out threats if he does not get money. Stand up to Bell let hi quit as he proclaims, if we tag him it will be the same old stuff, when will he show up and if he has desire to run. Really did he ever break away for fifty or more yards last year. How many short yardage plays did any of us feel secure in getting the yardage foe a first down with Bell running. He is a good back but he continues to hold Steelers for ransom.

I think his longest run was 27 yards and only had 3 other runs of 20+ yards.

Long runs also depend on WRs getting blocks down field too.
