Hey guys,

I gave up beer for lent, so I had a blueberry Truly Seltzer and am now sipping on a Dogfish Head Honey Rum. I'm watching the Duke game tonight. Let's talk postseason, Hockey, Olympics or life. How's has everyone been?

Evening as I fight with yet another bout of Diverticulitis today, yay. Good thing I work from home.

Pens, can they make another late run as they are starting to string together victories? Or did too much talent leave out the door?

Steelers do you see them bringing in a free agent FS and ILBer, or should we only be expect one of the two?

That Rum sound tasty...

Happy Valentine's Day Cope. Two QUESTIONS but I'll have to check answers upon my return got to go meet sister for awhile.

1.) I have a post frame metal faced building. The GABLE side is 54ft X 16ft at peak. I'm furring out entire front with 2x4 flat and 18"
on center. I'll be nailing vertically every 2ft. How many "AIR GUN" nails will I need???

2.) What in reality do you think the STEELERS will pay BELL. Will it be a Fran. Tag or multi-year contract and what is the cost$$$$$

Hope you're rocking it and actually made an impression for your wife as today's the day to show your love.

Hey Slash! Sorry to hear about the heath issues. Not cool at all. Get well my man!

As MTC can attest, I've been hardcore into the Pens this year since the playoff loss of the Steelers. The Pens have already turned it around and are playing great. They need to get Hornquist back from injury, and IMHO could make a move for a defensive defensiveman or 3rd line center to improve their chances, but they are already making a run.

The Metro is insane, and they can't lapse, but Murray is playing excellent in goal. Crosby is back to his playmaking self. Malkin was the best player in the league in January, by a mile. The youth coming up is contributing, Austin-Reese had 2 goals in his first game last night.

Get ready Pens fans, barring a devastating injury, and whether or not they make a move before the deadline, they will be a contender this year.

PS. I'm looking forward to your synopsis of the Pen's also.

Thanks in advance

Working the phone and email today and ended up with a job interview tomorrow. Kinda far but I'll take it if Diamond Dave has a spare bedroom I can stay in for nights I'm on call.
New job that I do have kind of sucks. I'm on-call 24/7 and make good money when I work, which isn't often enough. Not really surprised but it was worth a shot.
Dog developed a big lump in his neck/throat over the weekend, it went down some yesterday, being a greyhound we thought it was cancer, went to vet today and she's sure it's just an infection. Had to buy canned dog food and zap it in the food processor so he could lick it down. In too much pain to chew or lift his head much. Doing better today.
Upside, I got the newsletter for the Allegheny County Funeral Directors Association today and I'm listed as one of the new members.
I might not be here as much. Need to spend more time studying for the Florida funeral director licensing exam. I've been slacking.
For Valentine's Day Mrs. Burgundy got me all-weather Steeler floor mats for my truck.

Happy V-Day! yes, I gave my wife flowers on Monday and gifts today for her and the daughter. I live in a house full of women and I fortunately know how to take care of them. Would have gone out to dinner tonight but the daughter has the flu...

1. you're making me do math! Wow. It's been a while. I used to do roofing in HS to make money for books in college. Are you laying shingles or is this a metal roof. So are your roof sides flat rectangles, minus the furring? Your rectangle size dictates shingles needed and nails needed. You give me that measurement, and I can work on nails for you.

2.I've been stating since day 1, that Bell will be franchised. Once he is franchised, I believe he will be moved. Shazier's injury hamstrung this team. We need someone to replace, though FA is sparce with options for a Shazier replacement. I look to target the RFA market with this extra money and make a move on a good young restricted ILB, keeping in mind that we will have to give up a pick to get him. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and if the Steelers want to optimize this SB window, Bell will have to be moved.

Wow, you have a lot going on Ron! What is the part time job you're working on?

Good sign if the lump is decreasing. Cancer doesn't drop quickly, it grows. Infection may be correct. Is your greyhound on meds (anti-inflamitory or antibiotics)?

Get that FLA director cert done man. That's where america goes to die (that and Arizona)! Great job security!

Great gift from the Mrs, I didn't get anything today. Night isn't over yet, though... ;)

Rooney seems to be pro Bell in his interview today. I just don't get that vibe that they will move him.

Glad the dog is going to be ok and the wife sounds like a keeper !

Driving for a company that transports railroad crews. Railroads are ****** up. Almost nothing runs on time. I still get paid if I have to wait but I make more when I'm rolling. Haven't made jack this week unless the next few days are busy but that's how last week went too.

Got antibiotics today.

Glad the dog is going to be ok and the wife sounds like a keeper !
Yeah. How many women like NASCAR and football?

I won't lie, I love Bell's ability and unique set of skills. I'd love to keep him, but you have to weigh what you give up by keeping him. And this year, if we keep him, it means our D will not improve much, outside of a scheme change.

Though nothing excites me more than our offense with Bell on the field!

THANKS Cope and don't worry about the nails. I was just kind of being a smart *** as I've already got it figured out. I like your answer on both the wife / kid being taken care of and also the BELL answer. I see us moving him as the TEAM cost is just to detrimental overall. Stranger things have happened but I see a Fanchise as well and a movement. I really don't think BELL will sign a three year contract and that's is about his max time frame for production. I don't want us paying for non-play production ALA Joseph Flucco. I trust the front office will take care of that part.

Thanks again
