So, the missus got her bi-weekly check today. Showed an additional $53 per pay period, $1,272/year. What about yinz?

It looks like about $70 a check for me. 1500 and something a year. Add that to my crappy raise and we're getting somewhere. I will take it.

I'll have to do the math, but it's somewhere around $30-40 per pay for me. My paychecks are never the same so I'll have to look at the taxes taken out, plus i may have received my yearly 1.5% raise.

I know it’s crumbs to them, but wouldn’t the $1,272 be better used by the job creators who are seeing an additional $12,720 or $127,200/year?

Did you just suggest that vs giving money to the individuals we should be giving money to the evil, big bad, greedy corporations?

Considering I got a whopping 10 bucks back from the Fed and I owed the state of KS 16 bucks, crumbs is what I need right now. My next paycheck comes out on Friday and I'll see if there's a raise.

It trickles down, doesn’t it? If giving huge tax breaks to corporations and 1%ers is what is best for the economy, why not give all of it to them? There are hundreds of millions of middle and lower class people getting small individual tax breaks, the sum of which is huge. Think about how much that could do for the economy if given to the job creators! Right?

The corporate rate was reduced 14% from 35 to 21. That's why you're seeing the big corps. giving bonuses and raises, and repatriation of billions of $ parked overseas. That and corporations moving BACK to the U.S. to take advantage of the tax structures. More jobs, more taxes, better America. So the job creators will do just fine without her $1272. But hers will spur the economy just the same whether it be some new clothes, savings interest and investment, or being able to continue to pay for kids college.

I would have much preferred a flat tax, where everyone has some skin in the game and a huge bureaucracy shrunk or eliminated, but I gladly welcome Trump's tax break.

Tax relief for everyone is a good thing, and I hope yours is bigger and more welcomed than you had imagined.

Nah, **** that guy. He doesn’t understand it or appreciate it, so he doesn’t deserve it.

You can NOT make it up...not even Devin Nunes parading around the media with red herring memo nonsense could do it.....

I'm just pointing out how crazy it is to hear a Liberal advocate giving money to the evil, capitalist companies they Occupy against. Rich indeed.

And you don't just give it all to them. You put more $ into the hands of those that spend while also giving companies tax incentives to reinvest in their business, create more jobs, produce more product AND pay their employees more (i.e., bonuses and incentives). Economic stimulation all around.

Google “playing devils advocate”.

Will you be donating your tax break to a Corp or 1%er? Why not? Wouldn’t it all come back to you and then some?

Oh you confuse me with one of those whack Liberals running around screaming about the tax cuts being bad. I'll be doing exactly what I am supposed to - keeping it, then reinvesting it through the power of my spending into the economy. I'm a capitalist LOL. Companies aren't evil, they are a main reason we a strong nation.

As a Liberal though, I can provide you with the link where you can make a donation to the government and return yours - since ya'll think tax breaks are bad. Let me know if you need it.

In today’s Post-Gazette, there’s a capitalist owner of a car dealership that does $60 million in annual sales and employs 120 people who really disagrees with your optimism.

Wonderful example. That must mean that is how the whole country is right the moment. All of those economic reports, all of those taxes going back to business and individuals, all of those bonuses companies are paying to their employees must be fake news.

So you're donating your evil taxes you're getting back to the Federal Government?

www.pay.gov for voluntary contributions back to the government. Any Dems/Libs who don't give back their newfound extra money forfeit their right to complain about Trump's tax cut.

So you are not going to take advantage of the chance to give the government more of your money?

Do as I say, not as I do, right?

Nope, he'll pocket it, yet be here bitching about how tax cuts are evil and benefiting the rich and blah blah blah.

As much as I like what Trump is doing. I think somethings need adjusted on the tax reform. Last year I itemized about 21,000 plus the personal exemption x4. That is now gone and I will be losing at least 13,000 in deductions. My wife and I barely make 100,000 a year and I am diabetic type two my daughter in college is type 1 our expenses our high but not high enough to meet the threshold to write off because you can’t include the cost of insurance payments. Almost every salesman in my company is facing this issue and some much worse.

Do you want to write off the amount that is deducted from your paycheck for company health insurance?

Again, I’ll donate mine to the government as soon as you donate yours to a 1%er. You can always choose to not do that, if the government decides to increase my taxes in the future, I don’t have any choice in that.
