Who is watching the Pro-Bowl and why........

I watched about a quarter and a half to get an idea of what sort of calls the Fish is possibly going to call. He called a bunch of trick plays to start the game including having AB throw a pass downfield. Not sure how well the trick plays would go on a cold rainy day in December, if that is really his thing or if those plays were just for entertainment.

Good to see a lot of Black and Gold represented.

totally forgot it was on. what would make it fun would be they have t flip flop offense players play defense and vice versa flag football.

I remember when they played like it mattered at least a little bit. I quit watching it probably 15-20 years ago.

Those old enough to remember in the good O'l days the players actually took pride and tried to defend their respective conferences. There were rules but coaches schemed as if it was a real game. There was hittingt and tackling
and passing and great play on both sides of the ball. QBs would take their OLs with them as a full paid vacation for them. AAhhhh, back when football meant something and players cared.

Oh and the STEELERS seemed to always have their fair share of Pro Bowlers

Saw the highlights on the Steelers website.
Looked very two hand touch like.


Watched the nhl all star game.
Seeing the hockey guys pull off trick shots was pretty impressive.

The nfl should allow the players to showcase their athleticism if the half assed pace ensues.
Not just skills comp wise either

I actually drove over to Orlando yesterday w/ the wife - we got reasonable tickets and sat behind the goalpost on the non-opened end (NFC marked endzone). Even though it rained, everyone was cordial (except the one *'s fan and his family) and we had a good time. Got a chance to see all the Steeler players and every Pro Bowl player up close - very nice opportunity IMO.

I might make this a thing if they keep it in Orlando...

I think you hit it on the head. I didn't get to watch due to prior commitment. If and when one does watch it they have to Remeber it is NOT real football. Have that mindset and it's better to watch in that respects. Also while watching it's amazing how much scuttlebutt you can pick up on. Big Al divulged a lot of scuttlebutt in his interview as did many others as well. It's NOT football and it's just a party for end of season paid holiday for those that made it, including Big Al.......

Obviously the NFL as we knew it is GONE. With as much money as there is at stake I assume nfl will be around in 10 years but not so sure of the 20 year mark.
Maybe it will morph into something futuristic like "RollerBall" or something to that nature. I see the NFL League being this wimpy bullshit that is transpiring
currently but the MASSes are starting to leave so like I said, there is way to much money to not evolve into something to bring back the masses. PAID Gladiators
is where it's headed and a way to fight corporate wars at the same time.

The pro bowl is the extreme of safety first football. It's exactly what the NFL will morph into. Might as well just start professional flag football leagues. That will be the only thing we can do to avoid CTE.
