Internet Thinks Refs Helped Pats

And the NFL pays the refs. Follow the money. I'm getting a good chuckle from the jag fans today. The higher you go the more painful the fall. At least they didn't have to deal with calls to new York. I told them a few days before the game that they'd all of a sudden start calling pi on them if the pats***** got in a pickle on the scoreboard. Why the jags changed to some soft zone defense with a ton of cushion in the second half is the only thing that perplexed me. I knew the ref **** was coming.

Watched the game with a Pats fan yesterday and of course, he didn't think there was anything wrong with the refs.

The Jags board is buying into all the conspiracies. Welcome to the club.

When you "pointed" something out did the ***s fan just talk over you and try to avert the attention>>>>>>>> most around here just talk over you and keep talking with no break so they don't have to listen to reason......... Rude as hell

Don’t know about the Pats only having one penalty but the 6 on the Jags were easy calls. Ran into the punt returner, hit defenseless receiver in the head, 2 obvious pass interference, delay of game. Those are hard to miss.

Probably mentioned that the 70's Steelers used steroids too.

That's just it, 99% of them have only recently taken up watching football................. they practice their defense of cheatriots in a mirror thus the non-interuption of them. They like to hear themselves talk about how good the ******* cheaters are.
How pathetic for them. Not even an ounce of reasoning that makes sense.........

When arguing with a Cheats fan I hate to go there and say "everybody did it" because that's what they'll say about Spygate but I just point out steroid use wasn't against the rules at the time and therefore was not cheating. If they require more detail to get schooled then mention that steroid use was pioneered by the Chargers beginning in 1963.

Truly is disgusting. I can't believe the other owners haven't done something about it. They keep voting asswipe Goddell back in. This is Kraft's league and Goddell is his best friend. As bad as Eagles fans are, I am rooting for them so hard to win the SB. The Cheaters don't deserve what they've already won, let alone another one.

Two of the worse fan bases. I hated it when they met the first time in the SB with McNabb and I don't like it much more today. Most Philly fans are knuckle dragging jerkoffs and I don't need to say anything more about Boston fans.

The best line I've seen so far is: Who do I pick to win the SB? I'm going with North Korea.

I thought it was interesting that the refs finally found the flags to throw on jax. 2 penalties against us (obvious ones missed) and, suddenly they commit 6 in one game....

Yes, but the holding calls on the Cheats o-line were also obvious and easy to call. As was the holding on the Jags 3rd and short late in the game. The play was right across the middle. Multiple officials had to see the Cheats player pulling on the receivers jersey. It was right in the middle of the freakin field.

So was that hold on that final 3rd down Pats conversion......but missed it was.....

I hope the Iggles staff will study the game film of the Pats and chronicle the rise in opposing team penalties while playing the Pats in the playoffs.

This phenomenon of playoff teams, whose own historical data indicates that they commit few penalties, suddenly having a plethora called against them in the big game, coupled with the disparity between the penalties called during the game with the Pats, is quite something to behold.

It is also quite difficult to overcome.

The Iggles need to gameplan for a 300 % rise in penalties expected to be called against the Iggles and also the difference in penalties called between the Pats and their opponents, another 300%.

600% difference in how the game will be officiated, all in favor of New England. .

THAT is what you have to prepare for in addition to Brady, Gronk and the attack of the midgets.

I would shout that from the roof tops leading up to the game.

Not that the league really cares........

They don't seem to give a damn that Al Riverons only criteria for confirming a call is "Who has the Ball?"

There is a reason Al RIveron has become a household name........

PS.....I suck at Math.......

The little bit of radio i listened to this morning was ESPN and others fighting with the audience to defend the Pats. Apparently, everyone is flooded with emails and texts saying the refs helped the pats win.

i heard Trey Wingo try to shut down the people complaining the pats were only called for 1 penalty. So he says the espn research says that over the last 10 years in the playoffs, Pats opponents have only been called for 2 more penalties than the pats so you better shut up.

of course, we saw just how that worked last week vs the Titans. By the end, the # of penalties was close, but anybody who watched knows the pats were handed huge game changing calls in key moments, while the penalties against the pats were late when game was decided and were mostly calls for false start or offsides.

We all know it is meaningless to simply look at # of penalties.

Here’s a number i’d like to know. How many times has the Pats OL been flagged for holding in the past 10 years?

I actually text back n forth to a pats fan who was born and raised in the burgh. (go figure)

He agreed with just about everything I have said. Except the hold on Eli he said it as a tug.

I asked him why is it that the pats always get the favorable calls?

He says because they cheat.

Some of it is probably tongue and cheek, but most fans know their team is up to no good. Just don't care, they are winning.

Check out the box score, the only stat that suggests the Pats won the game is Penalties 1-10 yards vs 6-98 yards.

I’d love for someone to analyze the Pats penalties vs their opponents and the standard deviations from the NFL average. Are teams really penalized more vs the Pats compared to other opponents? Are the Pats penalized way less? Sure as hell seems that way.

I cant say conspiracy. Too far fetched. I think it is pretty clear they are getting the Jordan treatment. One that really pissed me off was the no call on Lewis third down. Oh and by the way no replay of it. Mmm when is there no replay?
