A loss is a loss and as painful as it is that's the way it goes in the NFL....you just don't win the SB every year. That being said there are a few things that are inexcusable to me in this game.

1) On 4th and a half a yard you either run it up the guy with the best back in the NFL or you sneak it with one of the biggest QBs in football. You don't run to the edge. That right there is inexcusable.

2) Whoever was making the worst offensive calls at the most crucial times, someone needs to override the moron. Let's say it's Haley. Then it's the responsibility of the head coach to set Haley aside and give him the ******* riot act. Either that or Ben needs to go to Tomlin and say I'm taking this game over and you need to communicate that to Todd. Period. I don't see any important decision maker creating accountability for one who makes poor decisions. It just keeps happening and everyone in charge keeps letting it happen. Inexcusable.

3) The ownership gives too long of a leash to Tomlin and his coaching staff. Inexcusable.

4) Tomlin and certain players should keep their mouth shut about the other team. I hate the ******* Pats but do they do that? No. Tomlin lets the inmates run the prison. Tomlin should keep his mouth shut and he should hold idiots like Mitchel accountable. Lack of respect and discipline. Inexcusable.

5) Where was the pressure on Bortles on third and longs? From my perspective they blitzed a small D back from the outside that was quickly picked up but saw few inside blitzes from linebackers or safeties giving Bortles too much time to convert and sustain drives. They have Bortles for God's sake and Lee, Cole, and Westbrook. They do not have Ben or Brady or Brown or Gronk or anyone like that. Inexcusable by Butler and Tomlin.

6) They waited to the tail end of Ben's career to address the secondary and they decided to go LB and WR in the first two rounds this year. CB and saftey should have been the priority. I don't care that Schuster is a gem. What did he do today anyway? What did Watt do? Their weakest link had been there weakest link and guess what? It will be their weakest link again next year. They wasted the last ten years of a HOF QBs years. Inexcusable.

I could go on and on but in the end if all us fans do is ***** then that's inexcusable too. I disagree with what the fans of the University of Tennessee did but I will say with confidence we are much more knowledgeable of a fan base then they. We need to ban together and start a boycott or protest if demands of Haleys and Butlers resignations are not met. We underestimate the power of Steelers Nation. Ben threw for 469 yards and five TDs. He is a gift and had two more years here at best. Brown will be 30. The O line will age and who knows about Bell. We need a commitment to the D in the drat and we need coordinators fired immediately (I'd like To join to go but that's the least likely and you have to learn to pick your battles). We need to stop bitching and act or we are as complacent as the coaching and ownership. ******* period.

Inexcusable number two

Roethlisberger is like money on fourth-and-1 sneaks, converting 18 of 19 such rushes during his career, including playoffs. The 94.7% success rate is highest for any player with at least 10 attempts since 2004. Yet on fourth-and-1 from the Jaguars’ 21 in the first quarter, offensive coordinator Todd Haley called for Bell to run wide right

Seriously fans what are we going to do about it? We need to unite and make demands. Write letters, make phone calls, boycott tickets or merchandise? I love this blog but all we do is ***** and I see as much action as the coaching staff ....which is nothing. We need to be heard. What are we going to do?

This team doesn't operate on scheme and execution, it operates on emotion and feel. You need a yard, but THEY need a style yard. Stupid.

But hey, you'll notice the spread was right there.

Honestly all you yinzers want to do is *****. You don't want to take any action. You are as lazy as tomlin. All talk no action. I'm the only one on here suggesting we organize and do something about it and in this day of age with social media it's much easier than ever before. Blah blah blah blah.....shut up if you aren't going to do anything. I'm already in touch with the papers about taking a full page ad out. I'll put my money where my mouth is

Well I don't buy official merchandise anymore. So my money doesn't go to them.
I have snagged a few team issued items though, not sure if they get a percentage of that.

But I don't live in Pitt.
Not sure if the fan base calls in and rips into management, coaches etc.

I'm sure Mr. Rooney listens and has to realize

This is so cute.

The most ironic thing about Mike Tomlins era is JAMES HARISSON. That 1 superbowl win on Tomlins resume is from James Harisson bailing him out on the longest pick six in superbowl history.
Also TJ WATT is the red headed step child of the Watt family. Living on his name alone. TJ sucks as much as the rest of the defense.

Oh you are just trying to be a controversial turd now. It's good for a laugh now and then but can we get with reality?

Oh and **** Harrison.

We got our *** handed to us yesterday. The offense was able to overcome a 21 point deficit but they were not able to overcome the two 4th and 1s, (especially the one that could have ended in 3 points), the onside kick that led to the FG for the Jags or the defenses inability to get off the field when it mattered most. Not to mention we were -14 in points against turnovers. That's how talented the offense can be to overcome all of that. The defense was just a let down. They couldn't stop the run for ****. Lets me know we need an upgrade at NT to help better clog the middle. I'm not sold on Hargrave as a starter. Tuitt and Heyward both are studs for us, not a good day for them. The LBs have to fill the gaps and prevent the run, contain the edge. It just didn't happen. Man what a disappointment.

We have some free agents and some roster moves to come. We will let the sting of yesterday subside and move forward. Time to mock a mock yet?

Just to put some out of their misery, it is not Ben's fault they don't run the QB sneak. He was on record a couple years ago saying he is all for it. Haley said he doesn't want his QB to get ear-holed and Tomlin stated that is why we RB's on the roster. So, stop your bitching that not running the QB sneak is Ben's fault. As I stated in other threads, the only way we are running the QB sneak is if Ben says **** YOU to Haley and Tomlin and does it on his own.

When all is said and done Ben will go to the HOF not Haley. It's up to us to get Haley out if not more to hire a coach that gives Ben more input. We can't rely on the Rooney's or Tomlin alone to remove him. We need to be an additional voice. We underestimate our power.

If Ben wanted to run a QB sneak, they'd run a QB sneak.

Haley may be done
