How about Jack DelRio to replace Butler?

I'm all for giving Rex Ryan a shot as our DC. He might suck balls as a coach but as a DC he's pretty damn good!
I kind of agree, but I think he can be too much of a distraction, especially if we play New England. If we had a stronger personality at HC, I'd say yeah, but MT can't even control his players.

Let me tell ya something if history shows us anything....Rex Ryan has been able to beat Brady with the type of Defense his teams play. His Ravens & Jet's Defenses gave Brady fits everytime he played them.

Oh I know, I was calling for him after he got fired from the Jets. But after watching his antics in Buffalo, I'm more concerned about him being a distraction and believe the media will see to it that he is.

Again, if we had a coach that could control that I'd be completely on board. He is the kind of coach that players love to play for, and play harder for, he could probably get the most out of this defense of anyone available. But he would overshadow MT, and he isn't the kind of person this ownership would hire, winning doesn't mean that much to them.

It is inexcusable that they didn't get close to Bortles all day long. They didn't even make him uncomfortable, which shouldn't be tough to do. Where the hell did this record setting pass rush go when it counted? Watt and Dupree got pushed around behind the pocket all day long and were non factors. No push from Heyward or Tuitt either.

Sadly the downfield coverage in the secondary was good all day with no help from a pass rush. With even moderate success pressuring Bortles, that would have most likely been an easy win.

I would take Del Rio in a heartbeat.

He's available.

I'm on board but I don't think there is a chance in hell that the Steelers fire Butler. As for Rex? Sure. If it gets rid of Butler. Some change is needed.

Heyward and Tuit complete no shows for the game.

I felt that the players who had to make the most impact were Heyward, Tuitt, Dupree, and Watt. Unfortunately, all four of them were total, total non-factors. The two up front did nothing to tie up offensive lineman, or get pressure, and the two outside backers shot straight up the field time, and time again. They played worse than they did back in week five. Watt I think just wore down, but Dupree is a joke. I'm sick of watching him have no respect for his assignment, and show a complete lack of awareness all the time. For a player who is supposed to have all this size and athleticism, he hasn't shown much of anything, and is hardly involved in any plays. Dude took a major step back from last year. I'm not a big Chickillo fan, but at least you don't have high hopes for Chickillo.

I would take Del Rio over butler, but i fear we don't have a lot to work with. I was never a dupree fan but he looked horrendous today. He looked like he was in slow motion. Watt and Heyward were invisible and i remember tuitt making one play. We needed to switch up on D and put more guys on the line. We just got manhandled. I'm not saying a full switch to 4-3 but if something is not working then we need to adjust. I also would have taken a LB off the field and put a safety in to cover the backs or spy. We gave up way too many screens our Lbs just aren't good enough to cover them

I would fire every coach on the team starting with Tomlin! The only holdovers would be Munchak and some others but NONE of the main guys like butler and haley. All gone! They consistently come up short and that is not acceptable!

Oh yeah, I would take Del Rio over Tomlin in a HEARTBEAT! Heck I would love to see what a Munchak could bring to the table as well! TIme for the BUG EYED experiment to end!

I’ve been watching football for 30 years and I could do a better job. Zero pressure all day.

I could give a **** about sack stats, we had a ton of DB and ILB sacks but we can't get any type of consistent pressure which is way more important than sack totals. Find a big ugly that can rush the passer from the interior and switch to a 4-3 and bring in a good DC.

Del Rio would help...but he's not gonna make a player out of a draft bust
Ike Dupree or Burns. They look confused every damn play. They aren't often times not even close enough to anyone to touch them.

Our Dline got pushed around BIG TIME and our Oline got worked over pretty good too. Maybe the Oline needs some new blood because they got worked hard today.

I won't label burns a bust yet, but he and Mitchell are a bad combo. With a better safety burns will look much better.

Yeah maybe Burns will actually run towards the other teams players instead of run away from them.

I don't know what happens to our DBs they seem to regress. Cortez Allen started coming on strong the one year and looked primed to have a good next season then he stunk. Burns was solid last year, but has looked bad this year especially the second half. I still think he has talent but he does seem mentally lost at times. Not sure if it is coaching or he would just not get it

I'm not really sold on Rex. I was a fan till his last coaching stint which his defense stunk. I believe it was his brother r running the D but it was bad. I would much rather have del rio or an up and coming young guy.
