Cornerback Artie Burns suffered a non-contact knee injury today and was forced to leave practice. This is seemingly devastating news as the highly-anticipated matchup with Jacksonville draws closer. Steelers CB Artie Burns left practice after suffering a non-contact right knee injury, confirmed to @TheAthleticPIT by both Mike Hilton and Cam Sutton. Burns wasn't in the […]

You have......got.....to be ******** me. Every mother ******* year.

Cornerback Artie Burns (knee) surprisingly showed up on the Steelers Wednesday injury report. Burns was likely injured during the team’s Wednesday practice and it will now be interesting to see if he’s ultimately able to play Sunday against the Jaguars. Should Burns be unable to play because of his injury than rookie cornerback Cameron Sutton would likely start in his place.

For what it’s worth, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that Burns does not have any ligament damage.

More worrisome to me is that Tuitt has an elbow injury and is limited.

Non-contact injuries usually have some sort of ligament involved. I know Rappaport said no ligaments were injured but coming from him, I don't buy it.
I guess we'll see..

Full participant, AB. No doom and gloom.

We need Artie healthy. Hopefully he's ready to go Sunday.

Tuitt has been playing with a torn bicep all year right? Wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Hope it isn't anything serious.............

Another good sign for Antonio Brown. He was a full participant in practice Wednesday. Artie Burns (knee) Stephon Tuitt(elbow) and B.J. Finney (thigh) were limited.

You can twist or hyper extend a knee and not have significant damage, kind of like twisting an ankle.
If Tuitt had a torn bicep he'd be done.

Hopefully it's just precautionary for Burns

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!! We MUST have Burns if we have any chance of getting past the Cheatriots next week. And, we need Tuitt to help stop the run this week. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Burns just had an MRI I'm told. Skipped people in line at the Southside facility

That doesnt sound great. At least not this week. Posluzny missed practice for them. Sounds like Abdominal or core. That is huge. They are vulnerable to the run to start with. Always something.

I don't have a big problem with Sutton playing for Burns. The kid has got to step up sooner or later, why not against Bortles ?

We got CB's we ain't even playeed yet...no worries mon

Maybe no worries about Burns this week but definitely next week. Sutton isn't anywhere near Burns yet and Burns is by far our No. 2 CB. That and missing Tuitt will be huge even this week. We need Heyward, Tuitt and Hargrave up front all game. We can't go to the 2 DL sets or we will get abused again, especially without Shazier.

It doesn’t sound like it’s serious which is good. It would be nice to be full strength but I think we can beat Jax without him. I want him back for the next one if we get there though
