Oprah Winfrey is "actively thinking" about running for president, two of her close friends told CNN Monday.

The two friends, who requested anonymity in order to speak freely, talked in the wake of Winfrey's extraordinary speech at the Golden Globes Sunday night, which spurred chatter about a 2020 run.

Some of Winfrey's confidants have been privately urging her to run, the sources said.

I am against her, and that's because we need young progressive blood. Someone with brains, not another know nothing like Trump. And that's exactly what Oprah is.

See, to me the only bright side about Oprah running would be having another non politician in office. Hell, I hope the next 5 Presidents will be non politicians and the entire profession will become as useless as an 8 track machine.
 
I think a ticket of oprah / the rock or vice versa would be funny. I would like to hear their views on security / foreign affairs / health care / etc before i form an opinion.

I want to point out Trump absolutely asked her about being his VP .... it could get weird if she runsand its him v her... the sign that celebrity worship in this country reached a tipping point

Just more Democrat identity politics. It's all they know. What a person believes doesn't matter, what matters is who they are. Dem thought process goes like this: "The Republicans won with a TV celebrity so we need to counter that with a TV celebrity of our own and if it's a black female celebrity so much the better."
 
Supe can attest to this.....as he sorta kinda instigated the whole thing on my FB post yesterday. I had said how I didn't watch the Golden Globes because the celebrities already act like slef absorbed narcissists and don't need another platform. Supe posted the Candace Owens Twitter statement, and one of my very liberal friends went apeshit. Said that Bill Clinton was NOT a predator, that we support a serial predator fore President. Then all those pictures of Oprah tounging Weinstein's ear appeared on my feed, and she STILL denied any hypocrisy. Of course, Supe was so classy to point out that we were arguing with a woman wearing a ***** hat....lol.
 
I can't imagine any reason to vote for her. Her endorsement of Bammy was all it took to write her off of my people who matter list.
