Just think about this folks. Let all this soak in.

The Patriots cheat for years, recording team's walkthroughs and signals.

One of their own former coaches tells on them, only after his team lost to them in a regular season game. He simply walked NFL officials right over to the ******** who was operating the camera.

Goodell acquires the videotape collection from New England and burns the tapes. The commissioner then goes on to say that there was nothing in those tapes that would have given New England a competitive advantage.

We find out that the Steelers were one of the team's that New England had extensive video footage on.

The commissioner goes on to fine the Patriots and their head coach. Draft picks were taken away as well.

Josh McDaniels, who is now on his second tour as the OC for the Patriots, tried his own spin on spygate(Spygate II) while he was head coach of the Broncos. He used the same camera guy that was involved in Spygate I. McDaniels was fired, then picked back up by New England.

Since then there have been multiple reports by team's complaining of New England interferring with their headsets while playing at Gillette Stadium.

Deflategate anyone?

This is what was allowed to win 5 championships..

Brother just come to terms with it. It's entertainment. Not a 100% pure sports competition. I wish it would be. They'd need to hit about half of the ******* rules out of the crap they have now.

It's true. The NFL at some point became the WWF / WWE

We just aren't sure when that happened. But I suspect it was right around the time the media days leading up to the SB became more important than the game itself. I suspect just about the time they stop using college marching bands for the half-time performances and moved to "live entertainment" we should have taken a bit more notice.

Too much. Just too much extra hoopla surrounding the Buper Sowl. It almost doesn't even feel like a football game anymore, just a big money show.

And **** those cheating ********.

Well....Vince McMahon is to bring back the XFL under a different moniker. The UFL. So maybe Goodell is trying to corner the WWE market too.

So if the Steelers actually somehow do the unthinkable, and vanquish New England in the playoffs and *gasp* go on to win the big game, we're all going to make sure to muffle our excitment/joy/thrill because "after all, it's just entertainment, not sport", right?

lol this place is a riot. It's like that bengals board, jungle noise, talking about the Steelers.

I loved that they let them play for once. least penalized game I have seen in years..

No, it was a "let the Patsies play" type of game. 2 penalties for 4 yards

Steelers hit with 6 penalties for 63 yards.

oh shut the **** up about the refs, Christ almighty. You spout that nonsense as if the Steelers were called for 15+ penalties. it was 2 vs. 6, whoopty ******* doo. If THAT'S what we're going to complain about, then nothing will ever please us, as a fanbase.

In a sense, I agree with you, Omar. However, that PI that was called on Burns was garbage at best, and put them in position to kick a field goal that cut our lead to 5. I also believe it was a third down play that went incomplete. Their last touchdown only ties the game with us, we don't ever get a reversed touchdown, and we win the game. Of course, the entire make-up of the game changes from that point if that scenario played out that way, but you know what I mean. Do we have to move on? Absofuckinglutely. But that loss is STILL the tough to swallow 9 days later.

i agree, very tough to swallow a loss like that.

This all happened because James bobbled an easy pass with nobody around him reaching for the goal-line. Hands too small to hang onto the ball without being touched ?.

Yep that call on Burns was trash, and that contact happens every pass play. Yes the penalties were only 6-2, but ours were huge, the PI setting NE up for a score, and a crap hold on AL when we're just had a first down run of 8 yards that would've put the ball at our 38 on a drive that started at our 3
