I’ve cheered for the Steelers since I could walk. Over 30 years, I suffered through Bubby Brister, Kordell Stewart, even Kent ******* Graham. It was great seeing this team wins super bowls instead of just hearing about the great teams of the 70’s that I missed out on.

A big hit is part of the game, and its why these players get paid millions of dollars. They signed up for it. As much as I question Mike Mitchells ability to play the game I respect him for what he came out and said.

I can get behind the league trying to protect players from devastating injuries that could worsen in their later years. What I can't stomach anymore is the officials constantly reviewing hits that look legal at live speed, but at 1/1000th speed extrapolating intent on the part of the defender. Slow anything down, not just football, and you can dissect anything and make it something else.

Again, the league is in danger of micro-analyzing so much of the game that we all grew up loving, that viewership and attendance will continue to suffer. Should the cheating Massholes win the SB again this year, I've made a vow to not only refuse to renew NFLST next year, (****, I probably won't watch the SB game this year if that's the case)... but I may choose not to watch next year at all. It has become such a diluted, corrupt sport that so much enjoyment has been removed.

Kr*ft owns BIG cable and contributes heavily in the TV contracts type money. He gets "special" treatment from the "rog" due to that. REGARDLESS you are absolutely right about corruption being involved. I don't bet on any games. I am in two football pools. One's free the other could cost me but it's a random pool so not tied to the fix.

None of this makes sense from a business sense, if Kraft was in it for the money he would want the nfl to good as a whole.
(No businessman wants to lose money regardless of loyalty, and if he’s in for the money, placing your bet on the sure thing is not how you make money) Any smart businessman would know if you create a monopoly viewership will decline, (ticket sales, merchandise etc...) regardless of any of the other bullshit going on right now in the NFL.
