Watched highlights of Watt's pass rushing abilities on another site, and was VERY impressed with Watt's arsenal of pass rushing moves. First, on one play, he bull-rushed the LT right into Flacco, in about 2 seconds. Overpowered a 320 lb. player.

On three other plays, he used his hands to smack the tackle's hands down. He is extremely good at this. Very quick, forceful move, and the tackle's hands are down around belt level. Once the tackle's hands are down, Watt can either blow past him on the outside or bull rush, as the tackle has lost contact with Watt and literally cannot block him. Watt used this technique on the final play when he sacked Flacco.

Finally, on another pass rush, Watt smacked the tackle's hands down and then darted inside. He got caught up in traffic, but made an excellent interior move.

Watt used the bullrush almost exclusively earlier in the season. He is clearly learning and implementing additional pass rush moves, and just looks like a guy who will be a force rushing the passer with his technique and athleticism. Worries that he would be "just a guy"? Nope. He is a tremendous player right now, and getting better as the season progresses.

P.S. Here is the link showing Watt's pass rush moves.

That is what he worked on with his brother, JJ, heading into this season.

You could tell on his tape being a pass rusher for only one year at Wisconsin this kid was only scratching the surface of what he was capable of accomplishing, so glad we took him. Those Watt bloodlines are strong....

Watt is developing into quite the all-around outside linebacker...

ALL this and the season isn't even over,............... Where is Uncle Jarvis again?????????

Salute the nation

Watt has also made some big plays in big moments with his latest coming last week.

This. You can have garbage sacks in this league, and sacks that come early in the game, that are cleaned up and have no big influence on the outcome of the game.

Then you can have that late Flacco hustle sack, that was just at the right time. Hopefully he will have a few of those at the right time in the upcoming just as meaningful games.

But bright future for TJ.

One of the best rookies in the draft. A very good first round pick.

Jarvis Jones Career Stats 4yrs 50games 35 starts:

129 tackles
84 solo
45 assists
6 sacks
9 Passes Defensed
4 Forced Fumbles
3 Fumbles Recovered
2 INTs

Still some room to overtake Jarvis, but way better than his rookie year of 1 sack, 4 PDs, and 41 tackles (30solo 10ass).

Surprisingly, Jarvis could get turnovers. They were few and far between, but some were very impactful. I don't hate the guy, he never lived up to his potential, he just didn't work out.
