Sutton shows off football IQ

Glad this kid got activated. Wish they would let him return punts instead of Rogers with AB not returning punts. At the end of the day, we just need to hold down the fort until Haden is back on the field and then this defense gets its swagger back.

In other related news did we all see Bud just give up on Dalton, allowing him to throw the pass? File that one under low football IQ.

I liked Sutton and had him in my mock drafts for round three. A stick em' type of corner who's smart with solid ball skills. To come into play as he did with no NFL game experience was impressive

There is a lot to like.

On the downside he is not very big or fast, so you have to be careful where you match him.

you really don't have to say the same **** it multiple threads we get it you don't like Bud u think he has a low football IQ

He's not an aware player. Is that a bit better? We need Dupree to play well, and someone in the know please tell me why Harrison hasn't played much this year

and if Dupree had flung Dalton to the ground AFTER he threw the ball, there would have been a penalty and some ****** here would be posting he has low football IQ. If you bother to watch the replay, you can see why he did what he did. but, I doubt they show that replay at your bar. so keep on doing you, coach.

Not really just a different phrase for you to continue to say the same thing in multiple threads to push your Dupree is not smart agenda...we have heard it we know how you feel...we don't forget ...remember the Troy head too big...we all remember ,...you lock on to certain things and say them over and over ....like a child look at me look at me..u are an asset here Coach but the constant I told you he was dumb...i told you he sucked...I told you I told you gets tiring..

Bud lacks awareness. I will agree with that, but he did play better after that missed sack. He did finish with an impactful sack for us to get the ball back to win on 3rd and 2.

Without that sack, we might not win that game, so I can give him a pass on him thinking the ball was out on his first sack attempt.

If you see on the replay, Bud went for Andy's throwing arm, but the ball wasn't in it (since Andy changed hands), so he immediately turns to locate the ball, not knowing it was in Andy's other hand.

He's allowed to tackle Dalton with the ball.

Didn't Andy slip off the tackle, with Dupree standing around doing nothing? Didn't he throw the pass after shaking off Dupree who stood around doing nothing?. At the very least Bud's lack of awareness as to if he throw the football was problem.

If you watch Dupree on rushes, he'll piss off. His second effort is lacking. If he gets a free lane, he can accelerate with the best of em'

All right. Point made. I'll lay off the negative points on Bud. But I still say Harrison if healthy needs to play.

A few weeks ago there was talk of Harrison having some back issues. I'd guess they are not trying to aggravate that. It may not be serious enough that he couldn't play if required, but better if he doesn't have to play.

He fell for a pump fake. Not the most embarrassing thing I've seen by a long shot.

Harrison hasnt played because he cant do what the Steelers are asking their OLB to do. Which is also cover. Watt and Dupree allow the defense to disguise their defenses. He cant get the depth those two are able to get in zone coverage and he definitely cant play man to man on any backs or TEs. **** Watt has covered some WRs. Thats why Harrison hasnt been playing. So unless there is a scheme change where he is used as true DE and strictly rushes Chickillo might still play ahead of him though he will get a hat now with Shaziers injury and Moats moving inside to help there. Williams 7 sacks are due to offenses not knowing who is coming. Because they dont know if Watt and Dupree are rushing or dropping.

Harrison doesn't play special teams. It is hard to have a guy active who is a backup and does not play special teams.

I was pissed off about Bud "giving" up on that one too, but it was a really strange game. Look at the play that Bell scored on; those guys really gave up on the play. At least in Bud's case, he was looking down the field to locate the ball. I just think a lot of guys were playing "easy" so to speak because of the Shazier injury. At least until Juju knocked birthdefect the **** out.

Not buying that, he can be played like an end to spell Dupree, Heyward, Tuitt, or Watt on plays where they are rushing the passer on 3rd and ...

Harrison is a leader type, and still strong as a bull. If he's healthy enough to play, get him a hat!

I have a tendacy to agree with you on this. James Harrison dropping back in pass defense days are long gone but His BULL rush / sack / and leadership is still VERY solid. They can get him in to play and this week he is needed, HAT onto him.

Salute the nation

Isnt that what i said play him like a true DE and let him rush with no coverage responsibility
