If Ben retires

Thing is, history has changed for this team. This team is different from the top down since Ben first came around.

I also think Ben will play out his entire contract and then maybe some. Just my opinion.

Too hard to be able to tell what they would do if Ben all of a sudden retired.

We'll see when that time comes, but I wouldn't put a stamp on any approach as a result.

I just don't think they will dump $15-20 mill into a FA QB. They will play Jones and draft a QB at some point. Hopefully Bell also will be signed long term.

I like the Brissett kid. Anybody know how long his deal is in Indy?

I whole heartedly agree Coolie. BUT and it's a big BUT...if he does get talked into it by his family, the Steelers have already shown us what they will do.

Scotty hit it on the head..." reality is they will roll with the Laundry Man until they find a guy they like in the draft."

Look back to after Bradshaw's retirement. Who did they use...Cliff Stoudt

Then they drafted Malone in the first round and he started for 4 years before they went with Bubby.

Point is..The Rooney's are not askeered to play lesser talent at QB while they look for the next Knight in shining armor to take them to the big dance.

we're so sure of how they'll approach things, based off an example from 33 years ago? the league is a lot different now, friend, and just because the last name is still "Rooney" on the top dawg's office door, is no guarantee that they'll approach things the exact same way

Agreed. They were a run first team back then, now this team is built around the passing game, no way they'll putt in the hands of Landry Jones. Antonio Brown would probably stage an immediate holdout and demand a trade.

Only time will tell Omar, you and I don't count to begin with. You know what they say about opinions...LOL
