Do you generally agree or disagree with these rankings? Steelers in the top 15.

DeCastro #1 Guard
Brown #1 WR
Shazier #6 LB
Heyward #8 DE
Gilbert #9 OT
Tuitt #12 DE
Pouncey #12 C
Roethlisberger #13 QB

how do yinz feel about each of the listed rankings? who should go higher or lower? and why?

Add some insight when you throw up posts Coach. That might go a long ways to less ridicule.

Unless that is your angle.

;)

I'd move Shazier a few spots higher, but pretty much agree with the rest. Perhaps Shazier's missed tackles cost him a few spots, but he's the best coverage linebacker in football by far.

10 passes defended, 3 Interceptions. Our middle of the field pass defense used to be ripped by TE's and Backs. No so much this year.

One thing that hasn't been discussed a lot on this board.

Is the TE coverage. How it use to be a big Steelers bugaboo.

What do yinz think changed Coach?

:biggrin1:

So, the leading rusher in the league didn't make the list? Guess RB's just really aren't that important anymore. So much for Bell wanting $17 million.

Just out of curiosity Coach, where do they rank JuJu and Bell?

Pouncey is on the list and what's this Ben is 13th?....that must have hurt your feelings.

Ah, I see my stalker has some questions most likely designed to shoot down the source :) But Jokes aside let's talk ball!

To answer your questions Ju-Ju ranking has gone up a bit. He has exploded in his last two games, but because PFF looks are things in a macro sense for the season, his final ranking might not reflect the way he is playing at the end of the season. I think Ju-Ju will end as one of the most improved WR. He's currently ranked #40, which means he's a very good #2 WR. The ^^^ is pointing up. If they graded solely on his last two games, I'd say top 5.

Bell is not rated in the top 15. While he has a lot of yards, his TD's, lack big plays, fumbles ( which he used to seldom have ) and YPR and YPC are issues. Plus since I don't think he's nearly as good as the Yinzers or fantasy football guys do, the system compensates him a penalizes him with a -5 rank after all computations are finished.

LOL, Stalker...sure what ever makes you feel important, since you feel that insecure. I would say I am more of calling out a BS. But I digress, you again failed to answer the question.....what are Bell's and JuJu's ranking on your rag site.

Read it again Ike. I gave Ju-Ju's ranking. You must have missed it and my take on humor, but I'm sure you'll see it if you check again.

Just to keep you on your toes, I'm not giving Bell's ranking just yet. Sorry. I'd rather see you say it sucks before I type it in :)

Sure genius, we know you edited your response AFTER I posted.I didn't miss anything because you didn't originally list it in your reply.

So...a #40 ranked WR is playing better than your rag site's #1 WR......I see your NEW comments also seems back pedal you prior "JuJu is better than Brown now" narrative.....Keep it going, you are digging your hole deeper with every post.

The true reason you won't post Bell's ranking is because you have figured out a rationale for explaining it. I wouldn't be surprised they have him ranked at the bottom. They ranked Ben 13. Even with his luke warm performance, you can't tell me there are 8-10 better QB's ahead of him.

Ike,

Yes, based on the last two games only Ju-Ju has played better than Brown. Not even you would dispute that. Or you might and you would be wrong again.

To clarify for a guy who might not get it the first time around I said Ju-Ju has a long way to reach Brown's level of work in a previous thread. Two games are not enough for me, but on the other hand, it shows what the 20-year-old is capable of. There are parts of Ju-Ju's games that are better than Brown's and that should not shock anyone who's watching the games.

Yes, I can name 8 QB's playing better than Ben. Brady, Stafford, Brees, Goff, Wentz, Wilson, Smith, and Cousins. Gee that wasn't too hard. Rodgers and Watson were also playing better than Ben, but as we know they are injured. When you exhaust your $100.00 jeopardy questions, let me know.

I pretty much agree with Ben's ranking of #13. And it might shock you to learn I think Bell is slightly underrated by PFF!

Nope, you aren't putting words in my mouth. Because you only hear what you want to hear.

I will say JuJu has been awesome in his role (as a #2 and #3). He's will be a good one, and probably push Martavis off this team. He has NOT played AB's position, but has benefited from AB being on the field. Because AB, you know draws double/triple teams in coverage. So until I see JuJu play the #1 position and out performs AB as the #1, then I will say he is playing better. Who knows they may flip roles in a couple years. But right now, he is playing lights out as a Y and Z receiver. I would want to keep him there, because the more attention he gets the more it will open up lanes for AB, Bell, heck even Bryant and whoever is the starting TE.

As for your lists of QB's. I will give you Ben's analogy....."don't care about stats, only wins. Of those you listed who has more wins? I only see one right now.

So you think Ben is the 2nd best QB in football then? Your analogy is a bad one. He's not playing that well.

I think Ju-Ju, can be the X, Y or Z.

You might have your letters missed up as the X WR for the most part is a bigger guy who runs more flys and posts, and the Y is the guy who runs more of the crossing routes, which is what Brown is best at.

I think Ju-Ju has already passed Brown as a Red Zone threat ( look who is scoring the TD's ) , a deeper sideline / jump ball WR and as a blocker. He's more likely to break tackles too.

Those deep balls for Brown early in the season aren't working, he's too small and not fast enough. You could say Ju-Ju is Haley proof, because he does a bit of everything well, and his target to catch ratio is impressive.

God Almighty.....you are an exhausting troll......Where did I say Ben was the # 2 QB on your list? I said there is only one with more wins than him. There are others with the same record. the rest aren''t. Marcia is obviously playing better than Ben. So is Brees right now.....Smith, Wilson they are what they are system QB's. One is a game manager, the other is still using read option as a deterrence but is a solid pocket passer. Goff, is doing what his coach is telling him. Don't do too much on your own, use the players around you. Cousins is playing good ball, but still makes mistakes, just like Ben is. But who has more wins?

As for your analogy on WR positions.....X is the split end, Y is the slot, and Z is the Flanker. X and Z are your outside WR positions and in this offense interchangeable when a Y is in the line up. AB takes the top corner or the double team #2 and #3 DB, That is the X position. Although Haley allows either Split end or Flanker positions to go motion. Just like BA did. This allows the TE eligibility to be disguised. In fact Rich Mann teaches all the WR to learn all three positions for match up flexibility.

Deep balls for Brown aren't working as he is too small and not fast........You must love being in your fantasy world. I guess AB didn't have any deep balls last year and wasn't quick enough to get separation so as to be #1 or 2 in catches and yards......So why are they not working now?.....He hasn't shown any degradation in his speed or separation....There is something off between him and Ben, but Ben has been off with all the receivers, except JuJu maybe. So Ben is probably one of the denominators......but I doubt you would agree.

Brown gets a **** load of attention. That is a part of the equation you can't factor in statistically.
