WOW. I heard Jerry Jones wanted to sue the NFL. Now the other owners might force him out?

"The action would be under the guise of Goodell himself concluding that Jones “has been or is guilty of conduct detrimental to the welfare of the League or professional football.” Under the current CBA, this is well within Goodell’s power"

I am thinking that if Jones does file suit to prevent or stall the contract offer to Goodell, any judge would have to place a stay on the forfeiture of the team due to a conflict of interest on Goodell's part. Also, Jones could sue the NFL stating that the his actions are neither detrimental to the league or football as a whole. Replacing a commissioner would not be detrimental to the league, only to the commissioner that is being replaced. I think the NFL and the owners would be in for a very expensive and lengthy legal battle if they tried to go in that direction.

Losing Jerry would be detrimental to all of us who loath the cowgirls. We NEED his ineptitude as a leader of the cowboys.

lol...good point.

Win Win if either one goes.

Could be even better than that. When the Tarantula sees a Scorpion they often fight to the death. Sometimes both end up mortally wounded.

not sure the owners are ready to let Goodell go. Although the fans just might throw a bonfire party in the event he wasn't resigned.

I know I would.

This is some worst case scenario not gonna happen bullshit

I think that would be a mistake. Anyways it makes you wonder why they never made Al Davis sell out? If anyone deserved it it was Al.

Ain't happening.

I just saw that article and posted on another thread before I saw this. Not only is this extremely unlikely to happen, it's curious as to who those dissenting owners are. What owner would go against the most powerful player in their circle and risk years of litigation and lost revenue.

This whole story smells like fake puff stuff made up to garner attention or warn off dissenters..

Puffer and fluff to keep the "eFFin" commissioner. Jerry has Zero danger of losing his team. OUR coach is closer to losing his team than Jerry is to losing his.....................
