Can These TD celebrations get any more lame?

They practice this crap more than watching film or getting ready for the game plan. Don't believe it look at the lucky win and then listen to a postgame comment on improving the dance this week, they ought to be in the film room and watch the pathetic play of yesterday game.

And you know this how? They can dance all they like as far as I'm concerned. If it means they scored points I'll take that every damn day.

Thank you thank you thank you

Will you be saying the same thing when they're down 36-0 and celebrate their garbage time touchdown the same way? Don't answer, it's not important.

The reason that some of the people who don't like it don't like it is because it gives the impression that hard work, concentration, and effort are taking a backseat to the party planning and that their time would be better served with trying harder to get into the end zone AGAIN.

I know we all need to blow off a little steam and enjoy ourselves when we do something good. Especially pro athletes under the kind of pressure these guys are under. But when the pandemonium surrounding the celebration eclipses actual event that caused the reason for the celebration in the first place, some people feel that it's taking it a bit too far. I happen to be one of those people.

I'm also superstitious when it comes to sports fandom and I'm afraid they are jinxing themselves. Even though I know that's bull, I still can't stop thinking it.

I think being down a ton is the only time they should refrain from celebrating. Football is the greatest team sport ever. We always wanna talk about the "Steeler way" and what a family the team is supposed to be, so why is something innocuous that fosters camaraderie ever a bad thing?

Sometimes I think people look for a reason to be upset. You can't honestly tell me you think planning these celebrations takes up enough work time that it detracts from their overall performance. These guys are people, not robots, and they're playing a game for others' entertainment. Let 'em have a little fun. Every offseason we see a bunch of training camp videos of players having fun with eachother or pranking the fans like Ryan Clark used to--that **** is fun, but hell, they could've been perfecting their craft instead, right?

Another point I haven't seen made is that these celebrations have the potential to tilt the opponent. It's like legal taunting which I am all for. "Stop me if you don't wanna see me rub it in your face, biatch."

No one mentioned the group picture celebration in the EZ after Shazy's INT? Loved it. Sickest interceptoin of the year for us. Truly an athletic play he made after starting to blitz, then getting back to not only cover, but to catch a tough ball off a deflection. AMAZING! And also group celebration worthy!
