I'll attribute the slow start to this game as coming back from the BYE week. This win was bittersweet but a great comeback on the road vs a determined Colts team that gave it their best effort. I said bittersweet because our best DB Joe Haden suffered a high leg fracture in his fibula. Not sure what the recovery time is for him but I would assume it's at least 6-8 weeks so he's most likely done til playoffs. I still don't feel like this team has played it's best game on offense and I do feel like they can be much improved....I just don't know when we will see it. This is a watershed moment for this team this season to snatch victory from the JAWS of defeat! As I watched the Colts take the 2nd half kickoff right down the field for a TD and the Steelers down 14 points it didn't look good but this team persevered and Ben & the offense pulled this one out of their *****. It wasn't any one player this game but it was a great team win with contributions from alot of players who just kept on playing their ***** off to get the victory! A short week to celebrate this one....before the Titans & Old Dick come to town Thursday Night!

Game Balls:
Juju Smith-Schuster - He's our X-Factor this season.....he's quick, great hands and he just goes out there and does what a player needs to do.
Jordan Berry - He did great punting the football today but the play of the game that is going to be overlooked here is his effort to get back there on the blocked extra point attempt to prevent the Colts from scoring two points
Jessie James - He didn't have a catch and it's not something you'll see in his stats but his effort along with Berry on the blocked extra point to prevent the Colts from scoring two points was a tremendous effort! He could have easily quit on the play! He made the tackle!
Ben Roethlisberger - Was a terrible first half but he put it all together in the second half making some great throws.
Ryan Shazier - I lost count on the missed tackles in the first half I think he was in double digits but his concentration on that INT was TOO SWEET!
Martavius Bryant - You gotz "MINES" Martavius! Nice catch on the two point conversion and a key third down catch and run to keep the game winning drive going on third down!
Bud Durpree - This was most likely one of his best games as a Steeler
Sean Davis - All over the field today and some solid tackling too
Stephon Tuitt & Cam Heyward - Both these guys did a good job putting pressure on Brissett in the second half

Game Goats:
Artie "TOAST" Burns - This kid needs to stop biting on the double moves and get caught peeking into the backfield. One of these times he's going to cost us the ballgame!

FU's:
Todd Haley - Stop trying to do too much with that damn playbook! The cutesy reverses and end around never surprise anyone! Remove that **** from the playbook!

solid post...........

another FU. . . artificial turf. It seems to bite our players with knee, leg and hamstring injuries. Hate that stuff! Get well, Joe Haden!

I hate artificial turf! I suffered a knee injury in a non contact drill in sports many years ago on turf. My knee was never the same and it's over 30 years later and it's still giving me trouble.

I just don't understand why playing on a artificial surface with ground up rubber spread out over a mesh grid with synthetic ribbon to simulate grass and people think it's safe to play on. It's brutal to fall, slide, dive or get tackled on.

Add Mitchell to the FU list. I don't see what the coaches see in him. I'm not going to lie, when I saw him being carted off, I actually felt hope that we had a chance. He sucks!
