How the hell does AJ Green not get suspended. He took a light push from Ramesy and punked out to the ground and got up and attacked him. It was stupid enough that Ramesy got kicked out. I swear the NFL feels sorry for these low lifes.

Well ramsey started it and has been in fights before. I dint recall green doing anything like that before and has been pretty classy as far as i remember. Ramsey is a good player but has been a punk and Green just snapped.

Ramsey did push him. But he barely touched him. I dont care what his past record was, that was an attack. That wasnt like a punch thrown in a crowd. That was a full on attack.

Ramsey had been instigating him verbally and physically all game and had been warned numerous times by the ref to keep his yap shut and to quit with the cheap shots. In fact Green said that before the fight occurred, the ref came to the Bengals sideline and told him that if Ramsey hit him one more time in the facemask, he was going to flag him for a personal foul. He had already done it several times. That is totally out of character for Green. My first thought when it happened was, man Ramsey must have earned that. After reading about it the next day, he evidently did. Mess with the bull sometimes you get the horns. Green is known to have stellar character both on and off the field around the league. Ramsey has a rep for being a jackass.

Yes, Green was prodded and pushed to react. I get that. But so are dozens of players across the league, every week. Green's reaction was inexcusable. Bell misses 4 games for smoking pot, and Green does not miss a full game for using a choke hold and throwing multiple punches?

I was watching the 05 Bengals playoff game last night. Polomalu got into it with a Bengals O-Lineman. Troy almost intercepted a pass on 3rd down and he was walking it back toward the refs and the O-lineman got into it with Troy trying to wrestle the ball away from him and after a short pushing and tussling match, Troy finally lost it and threw the ball at the O-lineman's facemask.

Out come the flags...

See, Had I been Troy, for the rest of that game, every time I had picked up a ball off the ground, I would have run over to that lineman, pushed it into his chest and forcefully held it to him and said "You want the ******' ball? You want it? Take the ******' ball fatty!" Every ******* time until he did something stupid. Thank you 15 yards.

I figured Green would get a game for throwing punches and for choking Ramsey out. Bad precedent for the league to not suspend him for that but yet they are suspending players for domestic violence off the field.

yeah, Evans should have been suspended. He ran across the field to jump Lattimore ... after Crablegs instigated the whole thing.

If Green had a history of personal fouls, he would have been suspended. If Burfict did it, he'd be kicked out of the league...

I still have a hard time reconciling a hit like say Dupree in the playoffs which is like 10ths of seconds from being totally legal getting disciline at all and a guy grabbing a guy by the neck. Slamming him and throwing multiple punches.

How do you distinguish between a punch that will result in a suspension versus one that doesn't?

I actually like what Green did. The guy had it coming. I wouldn't throw punches at a guys helmet though. A palm strike or just grab that face mask with two hands and ragdoll him. Great takedown. A little of that old school nastiness.

Heard one of the ex-refs turned penalty expert on NFL radio's "moving the chains" today. (think it was Blandino). His opinion was that, because Green was ejected, that ejection served as a one game suspension. Evans was not even flagged (according to Blandino) and thus he gets more sever punishment.

I saw that whole thing to and you could tell Green had had enough. Can't blame him but where the hell was his back up.........you know the model citizens of Cinncinnati ????? Sorry for Green but could care less for the franchise.

Salute ther nation

So, because he’s been good up to now he gets a pass? Makes no sense. Maybe he gets some consideration, but a choke and punches are a fight, and AJ started it. Ramsey pushed, a pretty minor one too, see it all the time, and AJ freaked out.

Bottom line: He was being a ***** because Ramsey had him locked down all game and was talking mad **** at him. AJ snapped.

Ramsey 1
AJ 0

I don't make the rules. It just seems to be the way the NFL treats things....unequally.

I don't know dude. Looking at the scuffle, I'd definitely say it was A.J. 1 : Ramsey 0

And if you want to talk about being treated like a *****... well... Ramsey fits the bill there. :ranger:
