It’s the bye week and I’m bored as hell. Look more at positions rather than just the players.

RD1- Mark Andrews TE Oklahoma
I think Ben stays one more season unless we win the you know what then all bets are off. It’s no surprise the Steelers have been looking for reliable TE for Roethlisberger since Heath retired. And the Green and McDonald experiments failed. Andrews plays more of a WO position than TE but James is an adequate blocker.

RD2- Quin Blanding S Virginia
Blanding is a good mix of size and speed. More of the new style of NFL safety. Mitchell can lay the wood but is risky in coverage. Also gets banged up too much.

RD3- Tyrell Crosby OT Oregon
Hawkins doesn’t seem to be the long term solution at swing tackle and Chris Hubbard is a free agent.

RD4- Josey Jewell ILB Iowa
Jewell is a smart hard nosed football player and even though we have Dirty Red he fits the mold of a Steelers inside backer.

RD5- Nic Shimonek QB VT
Gives Dobbs a guy to fight out a position for. Only one year under his belt but so far Shimonek looks good.

RD6- Ito Smith RB Southern Missouri
Change of pace back. Good hands. Lots of production.

RD7- Jamarion Grant WR Rutgers
Return specialist with slot potential.

I think we need to look at a tackle. Big Al is not haunt getting it done so far. We don't have much depth there.

I still think james is under rated as a TE. I think a TE in round one is a luxury pick not a need. I would probably look at a S or OT.

No bad, switch round one to QB.

Bored with real football?

Steelers not losing enough for U so you can whine ***** and complain?

Go back to Madden and jerk off with the other GM wannabes

as long as we are picking at 32 I would agree to anything in nov.

Luxury pick perhaps but Roethlisberger has stated he missed having Miller as a safety valve. To keep Ben around you likely have to make him happy. Andrews would make Ben happy.

The next two picks are safety and OT. I wish we’d have kept Brian Mahalik because he looks good.

Even if Ben decides to hang them up, I just doubt there's a QB there at the end of the 1st worth taking. If there is, you might have to go there but that is why they drafted Dobbs last year. They were hoping to get a flyer like Dak and others.

If they go TE in the first and he's available, I take Gisecki from Penn State. He does everything. Dude is just a great athlete. He has great hands and high points the ball as well as anyone. And, he's probably faster than even Gronk. Then again, Gronk is actually slow but can still get open.

Jesse James would be underrated if he was listed as a third-string tight end. He's the starter and needs replaced. Tight end, safety and quarterback are probably the top three positions of need heading into the next draft.

Anybody that's starts a ******* mock draft in November while we're leading the AFC should be banned

My November mock:

Round 1. Turkey drumstick.
2: Mashed with gravey.
3. stuffing with gravey.
4. More turkey.
5. a litttle bit of everything else.
6. Pie, any kind. Smothered in GRAVEY
7. Left over turkey.

Only change one thing........................

Ben is under contract in 2018 and 2019 for 23.2Million in cap space per season. I think he'll let the Steelers know after the season if he plans on coming back for 2018.

PLUS, I think if he doesn't return in 2018 he will have to write a check back to Steelers due to pro-rate of his signing bonus. I could be wrong on this but that's my understanding.

Any mock without a QB in R1 isn't a good mock for us.

Disagree 100%. You don't take a QB in R1 just to take one that you aren't in love with. If the right QB isn't there, you take another position. We took Dobbs last year in hopes to groom him. You don't take a QB at the end of R1 that very well may be worse than him. If someone falls, then, yes, take them. If not, we hopefully still have Ben for another year or two and we still hope Dobbs improves when given more playing time.

BPA always unless things are considered equal...

We take a QB in R1 next year and I guarantee he will be better than Dobbs. Dobbs isn't a long term solution for this team.

I will stand my ground, in R1, we need the best QB available to groom for Ben's replacement, not some ****** scrub named Dobbs. I think we get one more season out of Ben and then he's done.

I have seen no where enough of Dobbs to make any kind of determination of him..he did some good and bad things. Also remember he was facing no 1s alot due to Ben not playing and Jones's injury. The game had to be going very fast
