Enjoy watching the aggressive play of Davis and Haden.
Ooh, he's up from your previous ranking of #10!
I don't rank defenders, I don't think it's fair to compare a DB to a LB or DL. They can't play those other positions. What I see is either a playmaker, a potential playmaker, or a body.
Playmakers:
Tuitt
Hayward
Watt
Dupree
Shazier
Davis
Burns
Hayden
Hilton
Potential Playmaker
Hargrave
Harrison
Chickillo
Just a guy
Williams (though he did have one excellent playmaking game, so he can rise)
Mitchell
Matakevich
Fort
Gay
Moats
All they guys have potential to improve. Hargrave was a playmaker last year, and can move up as well.
We have 8/11 starters that are playmakers, and Hilton in the Nickel. This D is already special and has room to get better due to the youth and getting used to the system. You can see it improve each week, and they're already playing at a high level. They are truly fun to watch!
You don't have to rank them . On the playmakers you listed, pretty much everyone you listed has more than Davis. My point stands.
Also Vince Williams has FOUR sacks in 7 games played. Isn't that a playmaker?
artie burns does not like to make tackles.
Here's a good article showing the plays Davis made and missed in Detroit. I'm surprised they didn't show the play where he filled the B gap at the goaline to stop a TD.

Even on the plays he missed, his speed when he clicks and closes is exceptional. I also like to see a safety at the point of attack on receptions. Not tackling after the catch.
lulz is coach still hating on Davis...consistent.......
I like Davis as far as those rankings no way I take him over Haden. Haden for me gets a lot of credit for turning this pass defense around.
Coach: ignores this post. Makes another post talking about a penalty against the lions and one interception.
I think what everyone here is missing is that Davis has to feel like **** reading this. Knowing that coach is down on him has to make it doubly difficult to get up for games. Coach, if Sean Davis has a bad game against Indy, I ******* blame you.
If Davis comes out and says there's this guy on the Steeler Nation who points out I'm not very good and It bothers me, okay I promise to keep my mouth shut!
The crux of the problem is posters like Antdrewjosh say hey coach did you see Davis did something, and I reply with a beat down of data. If there less threads about a mediocre at best player with my poster name being called out we would not see the back and forth stuff as often.
So those who are smart who want to avoid thread like this now understand how and since Davis' ego might be bruised you might want to keep it quiet.![]()
The sad part is you really believe the bullshit you type.

You can't take a hint. Simply stop having the need to call me out when Davis actually does something and you'll see less replies. DUH.
Davis is mediocre a best. Like I said, if I had the film and the time, I could make Lee Flowers look like a good player too.
I loved Leethon Flowers and Myron Bell, because those guys could lay the wood, and they did. They were good at covering in a slower league, but both would be exposed in coverage in this lightspeed NFL secondary. Sean is faster, rangier, has a quicker twitch, and is made for this league. He's excelling, and he won Steeler's ROY last year. It doesn't matter if people on this board can't see his value and ability. I can, his coaches can, and he is making plays. There are plenty of ways to make plays in this league that aren't INTs. Tackling, he's up there, he's getting a command and comfort of his game, and he's making plays.
You can't compare Sean with Hayden. I personally think we're ****** if anyone in the secondary gets hurt, minus Mitchell. Sean has the speed and size to run with athletic TEs. That's why he was drafted. And now that he has experience, He's shutting down all pros like Kelce. Kid can ball.

When he actually does something lol..Davis has done "something" every week for awhile now. But i forgot only interceptions sacks fit your criteria..or basically any stat that you can read off of Espn gamecast.
I'll hear from you when he gets an interception. We have certainly played some bad QB's this year. Any day now....until then just 1 INT in 24 games and counting....
#No ball skills Davis. #Let his man get open and tackle him Davis. #Give up first downs Davis. #Fewest splash plays Davis. # Poorly rated by third parties Davis.
I think you're confusing Davis with Mitchell...
