Anyone who watched the games on Sunday 11/5 has to be aware of what I'm referring to - the olive drab / camo jackets and hoodies worn by the coaches and players on the sidelines. What did you all think about them? I guess I'm a bit of a conservative in thinking that if you're not in the military you shouldn't dress like you are, I wouldn't go as far as claiming "stolen honor" but still. I'm sure the NFL saw this as a way to acknowledge those who put their lives on the line in defense of our country but that being said to me this way of doing so is an epic fail.

correct me if i'm wrong, but this is one of many times that there has been "military camo"-style NFL gear being worn on NFL sidelines, over the last couple of seasons. didn't care before, don't care now. i think you're just looking for something to ***** about, as is most of America these days.

I think they do it every year especially around vets. day. It makes sense to me. I like it.

November is the month that the NFL commits to supporting the military. It's been for a few years now.

I honestly do not recall jackets and hoodies. If there were then they were unobtrusive enough not to stick out like these did. Did not like these at all.

I had the Steelers camo hat last year and then lost it at sea while on a day cruise in New Zealand. It was a bad *** hat. I will probably order this year's version.

Have it ! I see two types floating around BTW..

I personally don't wear the camo, but I do buy it for my buddy in intelligence, that used to serve in the Army, and my other friends son in ROTC. And that kid is committed to service, and he's only 15!

They've been wearing this style gear for several years now. Nothing new going on.

These are from several years ago. It's always an option for coaches to wear camo gear. Just like some players get the camo towels and so forth.

Wear camo in support of the military? .... but kneel during the national anthem and not give proper respect to the flag and those who back it/support it/fight for it? Can't have it both ways.

I think you are being over sensitive.

Yeah they do it every year in November. As s veteran this year I would prefer they not do it. Don't insult me and my country with these Anthem protests then try and curry my favor by putting on a false front.

I think they have always been about the money. It is a business. And the smart ones aren't buying into their damage control.

It is what it is at this point. Every fan chooses how to attack ignorance and greed in their own way.

I usually for me just turn the TV on after the Anthem. If I hear anything political I turn the channel. And then I will give it a few minutes and try again.

Other than that for again me for now it is business as usual, go Steelers.

The players and coaches get their "gear" for free, why wouldn't they wear it. I personally like the style and the support cause intended.
Toss me some freebies.and I'll wear the sheet out out of it!

Agreed, just another attempt to sell merchandise. However, the supposed military type NFL gear looks tacky and you'll find the lion's share of that junk marked down towards the end of the season. The league would do better to just sale the traditional type gear with maybe a patch saluting the military if that's necessary......

Yes the NFL has done this for a few years now but I think they could've done alittle better job. I like it and respect it for sure. The real twist I think is all this National Anthem protest B.S!! The NFL as a whole is suffering, sponsorship dropping, lawsuits being filed, ratings down, sales dropping to all time low. And with Veterans day right around the corner and Camo now being worn on the sidelines what happens when some of these guys hit there knee this Sunday wearing it. IT WONT BE GOOD ILL TELL YOU THAT!!!!
Ultimately it's a frail attempt I think by the NFL to cover-up the issue, just like removing the national anthem from tv viewers.
The networks and the NFL know what they are doing to try and keep ratings up, it's all about the money these days and not the greatest sport on Earth- FOOTBALL!!!! Get back to the game ********!!!!
