Lynch is dumb as a box of rocks, but he’s smart enough to know that if he curses on a live broadcast they’ll stop putting microphones in his face.

I'm in this boat of thinking also. His demeanor seems to be of ignorance or just plain stupid. Hard to communicate when the other party talks the way he does. Good thing his football skills will make enough dough to hopefully last him while he is doing his "life's work".

NFL has a track record of ex players turned broke athletes.

Dude was smart enough to start up the "Beast Mode" line of clothing/hats/accessories when the Seahawks were constant winners with him there. The thing about intelligence is that most of us look at a guy like Lynch and we say he's dumb as a box of rocks because he doesn't sound like us. Maybe he doesn't sound like us because he wasn't raised like us. That doesn't mean he can't keep track of his bank statements and run a successful business after football ... especially since he's done it WHILE playing.

Let's put it this way. I've seen Travis Kelce exhibit the same type of behavior. (Last year after their regular season and play off losses to the Steelers). Yet, nobody on here was questioning his intelligence. I'd guess that would be because his cursing was couched in syntax that was familiar to most. Hell, I don't know Lynch. He might be as dumb as a box of rocks. Might not be.
Lynch isnt the only person who should think before talk after reading some of these dumb comments

I don't recall anything in the past that made me thing Lynch isn't very smart. Of course my exposure is limited, but I thought he came off well above average. I didn't watch the video in question, though

I'm neutral on Lynch. He is either out of bounds or hilarious. My favorite clip of him was doing a Clueless Game segment with Conan.

That's a terrible study San Diego. All that study, as explained does, is demonstrate that people with greater vocal affluence are more likely to also know more swear words. (You'll note that the study showed that people who did the best on verbal fluency tests did the best on swearing proficiency tests as well. AND the people who did the most poorly on verbal fluency tests also tended to do poorly on swearing proficiency tests. HOWEVER I would direct your attention to the fact that no mention is made of the correlational and completely necessary test that would show that people with high swearing proficiency should show higher verbal fluency in order for this correlation to make sense. Since that is NOT included in the study one MUST assume that correlation did not exist in significant, demonstrable detail.
Therefore, the fact that I have a strong vocabulary and that I am highly verbally proficient simply means I can ALSO use curse words proficiently. That does NOT mean that an uneducated cockney thug from lower London can attend the finest social gatherings and speak with the queen.
