Coach Tomlin apparently doesn't think Bryant will help us much the rest of the way

We will see I guess. Would be nice if he would find his game.

Who would be confident with Bryant's half of a seasons showing? Doesn't mean he won't rebound, and yes doesn't mean he will.

A big unknown. But iffffffffffffffffff he does, it could be the final piece to the O.

Just really a wait and see.

I really can't blame anyone for not being confident.

But sometimes that can spark a player who is down and out.

A tale of two halves of a season.

Let us all hope in his second half of the season, he somehow rediscovers his burst.

I think its tough love... Tomlin uses Jedi mind tricks with his players all the time

Trying to get Bryant motivated to produce.
If he didn't think he could help the Steelers win, he wouldn't have talked about how much they have invested in him.
Why keep a guy that you don't value?

This is mind games 101 by Tomlin.

Like I've said elsewhere, Bryant needs to get to what he conceives as the "BOTTOM" down and out. In his mind he isn't even close. He thinks his year SUSPENTION was his "bottom" down and out when in reality he still can go further down than that. His maturity factor has a lot to do with it and he can rebound once he sees the scope of where he is. He has to do more than just football stuff as he needs to take ownership of past and present, something he hasn't truely done. Can he??????? YES I hope he finds that spot in his head and yes he can do this. He can turn things around quite fast once he accepts his responsibility in himself.

Let us trade away every player that doesn't meet our expectations during the season.

**** a depth why is that even needed.

For the love of got damn it mane.

I think they should bring in Phil Jackson and try "Zen' to see what the response is after all, didn't Bryant do a poison frog thingy???

Yes the Frog got away, apparently showed more burst than Bryant has this season.

The question was about Tomlin's level of confidence, not about Bryant's ability

He wasn't asked if he thought can Bryant help us the rest of the way. Merely his level of confidence, and I don't blame him for giving a truthful answer.

It's up to Bryant on whether or not he can help this team down the stretch.

In most cases I agree with you but when the guy's head isn't in it and is becoming a distraction, why not remove the distraction completely and get something out of it in return? Of all the positions, WR is probably the deepest on the team with or without Bryant.

I want to Bryant to mature but I'm starting to think there is nothing there.

Antonio
Juju

who else you got?

Let us see there is Justin I couldn't hunt-er down the ball and Eli I opps dropped the ball- Roger(s) out.

Yeah deep alright deep as a puddle on a hot day.

You make it seem like Bryant is a world beater. He has speed but has plenty of drops himself. I don't have any more confidence in Bryant making that catch that Rogers dropped in the endzone...especially since his head doesn't seem to be in it. AB, Juju, Rogers, Hunter and DHB is a top 5 WR group...can't think of another group I'd rather have honestly. Bryant makes them marginally better. Hell we won a SB with much less at WR.

At this point, Bryant being a distraction is more of a detriment to the team than what he can provide. This team needs focus more than anything...we have the talent with or without him to beat anyone in the league and having to worry about what player Bryant will throw under the bus next on Twitter is the last thing they need to be worrying about.

Tomlin already wrote him off and refused to even dress him. He does us no good in sweat pants. Take a decent draft pick and get the cancer off the team so we can get focused for the playoffs. For me, it's addition by subtraction at this point but maybe I'm being harder on him than most...idk.

DOGHOUSE. Bryant needs to prove it on the field, not sit.

Way to not finish the quote. Full answer was:

“I’m not,” Tomlin said. “We’ll see.”

That clearly puts it on Bryant, on whether or not he wants to contribute to this team's success.

Just another article trying to divide a locker room...

I agree this is a motivational tactic by Tomlin, first and foremost. On that same note, would not shock me to see Bryant moved by tmrw's deadline. The fact the Steelers have continued to receive offers - even after Tomlin tried to shut that down last week - tells me there's a chance some team makes an offer good enough that Colbert pulls the trigger. The fact they were willing to sit Bryant over a stupid instagram post against a good team like the Lions tells me they have tired of his antics. JuJu's breakout game may be what pushes them over the edge. If that's the case, Eli, Hunter and DBH have to really pick up their games from this point forward.

If Bryant is still here on Wednesday, I hope he puts his head down, focuses on playing football and quits all the prima donna bullshit.

One week benching doesn't equal a write off.

World beater? He was before he lost that burst.

I don't think Bryant moving forward will be a distraction, I am thinking the swift hand of justice will give him something to think about.

Take out AB and Juju and you have a series of WRs that play hasn't been good enough.

You can be down on Bryant he has earned that, but don't let that cloud your view on all WRs not named AB and Juju. As the rest haven't been consistent by a wide margin.

Which is why I don't want to write Bryant off just yet. Out of that group he is the only one who has shown he can get it done. Not recently, sure.

And if moving forward he acts up, you suspend him.

But I seriously doubt it comes to that during the year.

After the year, I am all in the get rid of his *** camp.

And I will ask you again like I did last night. Didn't you applaud Tomlin for his stance on Bryant (i.e. for sitting him)?.

Take out any teams top 2 WRs and what do you have left? A whole bunch of meh. We just so happen to have the best in the game at #1 taking up half the targets so I'd argue we don't even need as deep of a WR group as you are saying.

Even still, I'd take our #3-#5 WRs with or without Bryant over any other teams #3-#5 WRs in the league. Any you care to put up against our guys?

We can be a better team with a Bryant who has bought in and decides to play team ball. Do we need him? No. But can we use him yes. Im all for giving him a chance to redeem himself once again. What's to lose?

We have a 7 game body of work with him this season. One can only imagine what is going through his head right now after the game JuJu just put up. He is probably somewhere sitting in a chair with a big fatty on a table in front of him just staring at it thinking.....should I or shouldn't I. ......should I or shouldn't I???m
