LB Greg Lloyd will be inducted into the Black College Football Hall of Fame (BCFHOF) as a part of its Class of 2018.

Atlanta, GA -- The Black College Football Hall of Fame (BCFHOF) announced its Class of 2018 today. Seven inductees were selected from a list of 25 Finalists who had been determined earlier by the BCFHOF Selection Committee.

The Class of 2018 includes Harold Carmichael (Southern), Raymond Chester (Morgan State), Thomas "Hollywood" Henderson (Langston University), Leo "Lincoln Locomotive" Lewis (Lincoln), Greg Lloyd (Fort Valley State), Everson Walls (Grambling State) as player inductees and Coach Bill Hayes (Winston-Salem State and North Carolina A&T).

"This class represents three Super Bowl rings, 18 Pro Bowl selections and several Black College Football championships," said BCFHOF Co-Founder and 2011 Inductee Doug Williams. "Take a look at what they've done off the field as well, and each has earned this incredible honor."

Votes were tallied from the 12-member Selection Committee, comprised of prominent journalists, commentators and historians, as well as former NFL General Managers and executives, and from previous BCFHOF inductees to determine the 2018 Inductees.

The Class of 2018 will be honored at the Ninth Annual Black College Football Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, Presented by the Atlanta Falcons on February 10, 2018. The Induction Ceremony takes place at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Inductees will also be recognized on ESPN at the Celebration Bowl in Atlanta on December 16th. For more information please visit www.BlackCollegeFootballHOF.org.

For those on this board too young to remember Lloyd...it's unfortunate for you. Even the young Steelers fans are familiar with the legacy of Lambert, Ham, Russell, etc., but Lloyd was a beast and I compare him to James Harrison in intensity. Unfortunately for him...he never won a SB. He was fun to watch.

Greg Lloyd wasn't hired for his disposition.
**** the Baltimore Browns.
Greg Lloyd and James Harrison could solve peace in the mid-east, topple the NK regime and kick the **** out of ISIS. All in a weekend. Without spilling their beer.
Chuck Norris wears Greg Lloyd pajamas.

Keenan McCardell wishes he'd never prank called Greg Lloyd

Jacksonville receiver KEENAN McCARDELL said Pittsburgh's GREG LLOYD hit him with a cheap shot because Lloyd mistakenly thought McCardell had made a threatening call to his house. McCardell denied that he ever made such a call, but said he suspected that someone on the Steelers' staff made the call to motivate Lloyd. McCardell said Lloyd came up and leveled him well after the whistle on the first play of the game, a long incompletion by Mark Brunell.

Nice ridge hand strike. Those are one of my favorites. I always get some of those in weekly in my heavybag workouts. A lot of power with serious force in those things. Lloyd is one of my favorite players all time and the only player I've actually ever met. He deserved to be a super bowl champion. The others I've met are coaches.

Is there a white college football Hall of Fame ? Indian ? ....Asian ?......or do they just do colors ?

This for players who played at an HBCU. An HBCU is an Historically Black College or University. Most of these were founded after the Civil War to give the freed slaves a chance at an education. Most have plenty of white students today. The baseball teams tend to be mostly white, as that is where the best players are. It's kind of the reverse of having heavily black football, and basketball teams at mostly white universities. I would imagine that eventually there will be some white guys in this hall of fame. Most kickers at HBCUs are white guys.

One of the best players of his era. AFC Defensive Player of the Year '94.

Grew up with the 90's defense.
Loved Lloyd.

Avoid the Lloyd

Congratulations! Lloyd was the first jersey I ever got and still one of my favorite players all-time.

Was one of my favorites....the whole gun thing with his kids dampered it a bit though later on. Of course there is always to sides of a story.

uh huh. I'll just hold my breath on that...

That would be incredibly racist.
Ya. Cause you know. White folks...

Agree 100%. I'm not sure Porter wasn't better, and he won't be getting in either. Harrison is the one who ought to be getting the invite.

Porter wasn’t close to
Lloyd and don’t post sack stats. Lloyd was a complete player who played mlb on passing downs. He was far superior to the disappearing porter

Lloyd was my all time favorite linebacker. It took 8 years for Harrison to pass him in my mind. They are both nasty LBs, just like Lambert!
