Donta Hightower out for the season

torn pec could happen to anyone.
well, not ark, but anyone who puts in any physical movement.

Well, now we know why we didn't sign him. Pec was partially torn in March for his visit.

Yes, but the report says the injury first happened during spring trainning and that's why the jets pulled out they offer. So I guess the steelers did too.

Many here said he just used the Steelers to raise his value.

Blount was a big loss for them IMO, and Hightower solidified that inside.

They still win but I see cracks in the armor, they better get cracking on more signal deciphering.

I hope that's true, and the Patsies wound up spending $36 million on a guy who can't stay on the field.

What makes you think the cheatriots are subject to a "HONEST" salary cap????? There is NO proof of honesty in that franchise.......................

Salute the nation

Reports were that if he left Pittsburgh without signing they would pull their offer from the table.

His biggest value to them IMO was giving them flexibility. He could play OLB, set the edge and rush the passer which gave them the ability to show different looks. The Pats don't have anyone else that can do that at even close to the standard that Hightower did.

This is a big setback for them as their pass rush was patchy anyway. Even more pressure now on Deatrich and Wise. They've been fortunate that two young guys like that have really stepped up.

I will admit, if we had Hightower playing Williams' spot, this D would be even more athletic and dangerous than it currently is.

I think Williams is doing a fine job, he's making plays and improving as the season goes on, so I can't be too upset since we didn't overpay for Hightower.

They are saying he had a pec issue in March and that's why some teams shyed away.

Good job by the FO not having another bad UFA signing. After Green, gotta be careful not to waste money on a wounded duck

this makes trading Collins look stupider, they have little no no depth at LB
