Bryant Wants Increased Role or Traded

Ben gives Bryant once more a break, he had the defensive back all over Bryant....so the fault lies in what you can't seem to get yourself open or not being thrown at when you can't get open. Other players seemed to get themselves open and made catches and plays to advance the ball. We watched JUJU,, Rogers and Heyward-Bey make played in their limited role. We watched Rogers fight for a ball with the defensive back all over him. We saw no effort on Bryant side when he was give what two yards in the game. Crying when you are producing on a loaded offense is one thing, not producing when others are is selfish. It does show that winning a game or a championship has been but in the back seat compared to stats, dancing and as much as I hate to say it the money. When my feeling is you produce you will get your money.

Is it possible that Martavis doesn't have the same quickness that he had 2 years ago. He gained a lot of weight in the offseason.. muscle or not, it is going to slow him down a little.
He still has the straight line speed but can't seem to get separation vs. man coverage on the shorter routes.

He's never been that great of a route runner to begin with...it was all with his speed, not technique. He basically runs 3 "routes" for us...WR screen, Fly, and shallow cross...that's it. He's very similar to Mike Wallace IMO. Suspect hands and ok route runner but can take the top off of the D so you put up with it. Sounds like he'll go the way of Wallace and won't be re-signed...we all see how that worked out for Mr. "Young Money".

Wish we could get a draft pick for him...maybe a decent comp pick at least.

Now I am up for swapping/trading for a WR for him.

Martavis to Cardinals for Larry Fitzgerald... get it done. They're in re-build mode basically.

God I hope that you are joking...

You don't think Fitzgerald is good anymore or what? He would immediately help us in the redzone and he's a chain mover that can run every route in the book still.

It would have to be a WR not working out on their current team. Larry doesn't fit that....

We couldn't afford the salary cap hit that would come with Fitz. Not to mention, what exactly would the Cards be getting in return?

Not to mention that what exactly is eye catching in this trade to Arizona? A 2 time suspended player for drug related issues that is one strike away from being gone for good, a locker room cancer that is nothing but a distraction, and little to no on-field production to offset the headache, sure sounds like a block buster trade to me.

Obviously, it wouldn't work unless they ate some of his cap.
Of course it would only work if Cards valued a young WR with potential and think he could be a #1 WR there, we would probably have to throw in a 5th rd pick or so too.

As for why they would get rid of Fitzgerald.. he is on a one year deal, they would be getting something for a guy that might be looking to re-sign elsewhere next year because his current team is atrocious and probably going to be re-building considering they have no QBs worth anything.

I'd trade Bryant for Allen Robinson. He's on the IR so won't help us this year but would be the best #2 WR in the league going forward. Jags probably want help this year while they are actually winning for once.

Again, an increased role means you need to consistently get open. Bryant has NOT done that. I still have no idea what his excuse was on the good deep ball Ben threw him on Sunday. The ball was easily in his range but he made no motion toward it. I am not sure he even turned his head to see if the ball was coming. And, I ain't buying the sun was in his eyes. That's his ******* job and he certainly made no attempt at that ball on that play.

Ben said Bryant was supposed to look to see if Ben threw the ball 10 yards into his route, and Bryant looked back 20 yards downfield instead and didn't even know Ben threw it.

For all his supposed speed, he is consistently shut down with single coverage. When he does get the ball, he looks like he's running in mud or tripping over his own feet. I had high hopes in the off-season, now I'd rather see what Hunter can do.

right now Bryant is just a decoy, but ben should try getting involved early on deep slants.
