I know Tomlin's presser will address this, but I didn't notice any apparent injuries.
Other than Tuitt and Gilbert being out, they appear pretty healthy, physically that is.
 
I'd give Tuitt and Gilbert the extra 2 weeks for recovery. They need to be full strength after the bye.
 
McDonald was probable to return. He didn't have to since Xavier was active, and fortunately he was!

There was no need to bring him back, but it doesn't seem like he will miss time because of it.

Good. McDonald should have caught the TD pass when the game was 14-14, but aside from that, he had another very good game. Caught a nice pass deep-middle from Ben, very good blocking yet again. He has supplanted James at the #1 TE.
 
***knock on wood*** it's been nice to see the overall health of the team thus far. The team the front office has put together, when healthy, is probably the best roster on paper in the league. I'd love to see a generally healthy Steelers team in the playoffs this year. We can only hope

McDonald is the only player I don't get upset over if he drops the ball. He's got bad hand placement and has heavy hands (not soft hands). Rigid hands cause the ball to bounce. Soft hands give on contact and work soften the impact. It's just not a surprise if he drops to me. Even his big play, he patty caked the ball, giving his hands the shortest amount of time possible to catch that pass. I'm glad he caught it, but he made the catch much more difficult than he needed to make it.
