The Steelers are in a unique position. With a win this week, we won't be looking up at anyone for the #1 seed. That is unusual. We typically dig s hole for ourselves (like we did with a Chicago and a Jacksonville), then spend the last half of the season digging our way out. With a win, we control our own destiny. go Steelers!!

It's a GREAT spot to be in and we do have a lot of season left. We have more home games than away games at this point in the schedule so that's a plus. We could easily end up 11-5 or better as it would take better than 11-5 to get home field through out. Definately love where we are but in light of this, don't forget that neither offense or defense has peaked yet. I'm hoping for that around week 12 maybe 11.

Don't think 11-5 will do it. Probably need a 12-4 record for #1. That means we're going to have to win the games we're supposed to win... starting this week.

Still can be 14-2, that was my prediction. There's still a chance...

If that happens, we are the #1 seed, and it doesn't matter what anyone else does.

Let's play the ******* game and finish the season first before we start talking about playoff seeding.

Playoff seeding DEPENDS on how we "play the ******* game and finish the season," not to mention the fact that no one here is playing so talking about playoff seeding is totally appropriate.

Mine is 12-4 and we could still get a #1 with that...............

It’s a great spot to be in and I think 13-3 is the W/L ratio to secure home field throughout. However, I still think this is a 10-6 team at best. Our offense isn’t as advertised and coaching is as it is every year. Nominal!

The only thing keeping us from .500 or sub .500 football is the emergence of our defense. But, hey! Would love to be wrong.

Looooooooooooooooooooong way to go and we have proven this year and over the past years to lose to teams we should easily beat. So, no game on our schedule is a gimme. And, we haven't played like a top contender yet. I guess that's the good thing. If we can start stacking wins and finally playing up to our potential at the end of the season, anything is possible.

Of course, we need to stay healthy too.

Hard to believe that this is the case considering a week ago we were the leagues biggest soap opera, teetering on a total collapse, and now we are a win from controlling our own destiny again.

I will be cautious going forward. This team and this coach (historically) have found ways to come up small in their "easier" matchups.

I just hope they are focused and committed to going undefeated this week. If they do this, sky is the limit.

Which is why it's foolish to be talking about ******* playoff seeding right now. As inconsistent is this team is it's a ******* joke to even think about the playoffs at this point. And we might ******* finish ******* 9-7. Talk about winning the ******* game that's ******* in front of you not the game it's ******* two months down the road maybe.

Yesterday I was grumpy.

Today I just feel like saying ****.

Good news. None of our performances have any bearing on game outcomes, so we can talk about next year’s schedule and it won’t make a **** all as to what happens tomorrow.

So talk seeding all you want. ****, plant a garden for all I care, just respect each others post and don’t flip out on each other. Fandom and the outlet to discuss what’s on your mind is what this site is about.

I understand exactly what you're saying. But **** you anyway I will ******* flip out on anybody I ******* choose it's kind of my ******* thing to do.

A W damn near wraps up the division barring something catastrophic. The rest will play out however it plays out, the Patsies will do what they do and win some games with some help. One game at a time with this group.

The D is tops and still has the ability to improve

The O is improving each week.

Barring a Key injury or losing the turnover margin, we should be winning every game we play this year.

Id have a tough time saying this defense is tops. Gouged to death on the ground in 2 games out of six. KC rollef down in a minute with a nine point league. Lots to improve I agree. Tops. C'mon.

It's fine to think that, and this D will have a much tougher time stopping the run without Tuitt (as he was inactive for both of those losses). Each and every D lets up plays. The key is, not to have a weakness that other teams can exploit week after week to win games. 14 and 15, it was spread us out and pass it. We couldn't do a damn thing to stop it. This year, that is not the case. And if teams think they can pound it all day on us, they can try. The breakdowns letting up big plays on the ground are the issue, not stopping the run in general.

Last game's personnel with the DL intact and Harrison helping to set the edge, is a good set to stop the run, and they held the top rusher in the league to 21 yards rushing. So my points seem to be just as valid.
