I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but giveaway/takeaway is once again a major issue. It's uncanny, I'd like to know how the Steelers stack- up all-time over a 34 game span?
 
I know it is only the second game but what do we build on. Sine the half with the Browns we have not scored a TD. We have how many 15 yard penalties . Really hard to watch after the half last night, just lackluster tackling, Ben not accurate, turnovers, no one seems to want to be a leader let alone a stand out on the Steelers. Where we go from here will be interesting.

Actually, your comment is a very good starting point for the discussion about coaches and getting the most out of players.

You are correct that the vast majority of Jim Harbaugh's players were holdovers from the prior coach (Singletary). I accept that Harbaugh benefitted from having a lot of very good players, such as Willis, Crabtree, Vernon Davis, etc. However, Harbaugh then drafted and started Kaepernick, who is a better QB than Alex Smith. He also drafted Aldon Smith, a key part of an elite defense.

Now, the 49ers are becoming Harbaugh's team. And as the team becomes more Harbaugh's team than that of his predecessor, it becomes a better team. Further, Tomlin was given a team just 2 years removed from winning a Super Bowl, with a franchise QB, and likely HOF players at WR (Ward) and S (Polamalu). Harbaugh took over a club with a LB'er who is a legitimate candidate for the HOF (Willis), a good TE, a solid OL, but no franchise QB, a questionable receiving corps, a dubious defensive line, and a pretty bad secondary.

Tomlin was given a lot more than Harbaugh. Further, as the team becomes more and more Harbaugh's team, it wins, and wins, and wins, and wins. It does not lose to the Raiders twice, the Browns twice, a 4-12 Dolphins team, etc. Harbaugh is 37-11-1 in his first 49 games.

Tomlin - given a better roster than was Harbaugh, and if anybody doubts that, then your are just being willfully ignorant - was 31-18 in Tomlin's first 49 games.

In conclusion, therefore, Harbaugh has a much better winning percentage than Tomlin, despite the fact that Tomlin was given a team shortly removed from winning a Super Bowl and a franchise QB, while Harbaugh was given a team that had gone 14-18 in the two prior seasons and had Alex Smith at QB.

I think everything can be summed up in one phrase. Lack of discipline. For me that is a leadership failure. That falls squarely on Mike Tomlins shoulders. Haley is a turd. DL is just so old, and Tomlin is too busy making friends instead of garnering respect from his players. He has no control of this team beyond the paycheck.

Have you read any of my posts today? I have given very detailed feelings about last night. My post above was just telling you to respond with some class which you lack obviously, and I am sick of you tearing people down rather than just debating. There are much more important things in life than football and I am sick you acting like you know more than everyone else and belittling them because they don't agree with you. We lost a young man and local football player to a car accident this week and it is really brought home to me how unimportant some things are. Try letting people have some relaxed conversation to get away from things and not be such a jackass about people who don't share your hatred.
 
Stupid *** Tomlin nut suckers like Lebanon should be smart enough to realize today is not exactly the best day to try and come to the board and condescend when their idol again **** the bed completely last night. Of course that would take a modicum of intelligence, something that SteelerInLebanon, SteelBuckeye and a big appleyinzer don't have a spec of between themselves.
