Nix, McDonald, and a pulling DeCastro or Pouncey will crush their guys with Bell running it.

Power football is back in business in Pittsburgh.

We tried that play too much in the 2nd half, they were onto it and we lost yards on a handful of runs that put us behind the chains

Dude, you uh... wrote this after the game.

It would have been way cooler had you wrote this yesterday.

I wrote it initially on October 2nd. It just took the Steelers coaches some time to deploy it in the fashion we saw vs Kansas City. I now look forward to teams playing base nickel defense vs our Offense on 1st or 2nd down.

Part of Haley's problem was going deep so often to Brown or Bryant, and not converting putting us in a hole on 3rd and long. When the opposing defense adjusts and plays 4-3, then we pass. Romo got it yesterday, and he's correct.

Hire coach right now and great thiings !

coach I will say you are consistent at it though

just not sure staying with one scheme is an answer

mixing it up seems to be the better solution...........

Oh there are many brighter football minds than I. I just hope the Steelers head coach and offensive coordinator would know better.

I will say I think Tomlin and Haley now understand ( 6 weeks in the season ) how and when to use their players. Abandoning the run vs Jacksonville was very bad decision. Let's hope the two won't make the same mistakes again and if they see a nickel defense, go directly to power football.

Now if we could only make better use of our timeouts!

In a 1-2 personnel formation they will always play a 7 front. I also agree it puts the D in a tough spot

Nix had a great game. Tomlin was praising after several nice blocks. We still need to keep 2 WR's in the game or a good team will key on the run. Most teams don't use 5+ DB's on running downs and refuse to change.

Steelers need to run single TE, McDonald, with Nix in the backfield as their base set. Those two destroyed Chiefs defenders all afternoon.

Joel - you basically said we need to run the ball more.
Wow, what a diagnosis.
Everyone in the free world could see that.

We haven't been running as much b/c teams are coming out in 8 man boxes.
It's silly to run on those downs.

Yes when you have the QB and Receivers we have. They have to step up and make plays.

Running game seems to be making a comeback across the league,, but all same teams.. Jax, bears, us, Cardinals.. Teams with one back with big yards yesterday.

We need Nix in the backfield on 1st and goal. Why we went away from that yesterday I have no ******* clue. Nix as a lead blocker for Bell is shades of Kreider for The Bus. Nix can also catch the ball if we go play action. He had some good catches last year.

Finney over Foster helps too.

Foster is a high effort type, but I think FInney is the better at opening up holes in the run game. At least in a smaller sample it looks the part.

That holding penalty on him hurt yesterday. We absolutely need Gilbert back at RT. Hubbard is a sieve over there.

I agree. Finney is a better run blocker and fits what we are tying to do when running the ball. We saw that last year as well.

ATTENTION COACH - Since you can't reply to emails and you keep reporting posts, I guess we can do this here. Antdrew didn't break anything rules or do anything. Stop feeding the animals? Get real. Sac up.
