I'm pretty sure Haley and Tomlin were tuning in to the broadcast to figure out how to call the offense.
"Pssst, Romo says we should run when they use that nickel-style formation."
"Uh. Ok. What the hell. See what happens."
"Hey, um. Romo is saying they're gonna counter with a larger 3-man front to slow down the run and that we're gonna pass to take advantage."
"Well, are we?"
"Oh, uh. Ya. Of course."
I like him in the booth as well. I like when he knows he blows something he just comes right out and says it. Like when he said Bell did a great job picking up a blitz and then the replay showed Bell run right past the guy, he laughed and said, "Nope I guess he didn't". Most announcers just ignore it and move on hoping nobody will notice their goof.

He is doing well, I would compare him to a Chris Collinsworth.
I noticed that too - and he kept his talk focused about The Game On the Field - not a bunch of jibber jabber about their high school/college coaches wives/kids/dogs filler crap.
Did anybody catch his Dumb and Dumber reference when they goofed on that one dude's name haha
