Except for Mitchell and Gay, who should both be riding the pine. Ben bounced back, not Earth Shattering, but played solid, which is a great response to last week. Bell is back baby, and better than ever. Brown made a couple bonehead mistakes early, but more than made up for it. Our dline was phenomenal, and our oline had their best showing of the year by far. JuJu looks like a helluva young receiver, kid is tough. Artie Burns is becoming the shutdown corner we've been longing for for years. Vince Williams had his best game as a Steeler. Finney more than held his own, and I think may be pushing Foster sooner than later. Harrison is proving to be an ageless wonder.

And finally, kudos to Mike Tomlin (who I am VERY critical of) and the rest of the coaching staff for their best performance in some time. This team was prepared today, and the gameplay was outstanding (wish we used that last week). And Tomlin was 100% correct on his challenge, in which he got screwed. I have not been a big fan to say the least, but job well done today Mike.

One question though, why was Watt replaced so much by Chickollo in critical times? Is Watt still dealing with lingering injuries? TJ is a good young linebacker who I firmly believe will in short time become great, and Chickollo's just a "guy". I'm starting to think Dupree may be a bust, but I hope I'm wrong. Moving forward, our OLBs should be, for the vast majority of the time, TJ and Harrison.

To bad we let the game get much closer than it should because the Steelers played football for three quarters.

I was wondering about Chickillo over Watt too. Wonder if that groin injury is lingering.

Run D, enough can't be said, this was a bounce back game for them.

Finney seems to help open holes pretty well..

Again we played against one of the best teams in the league. They were going to make some plays. Be happy dude. We minimized the mistakes on defense got some pressure even in our three and four man fronts. The offense is getting close to clicking.

can't you just enjoy the ******* win?

the Chiefs team was a solid team on both sides of the ball.

the only undefeated team coming in

some of yinz

complain worse than a ***** in heat

The other team was undefeated, at home, with the leagues leading rusher and top rated QB coming in. Just saying.

Well hopefully this is the beginning to putting a stop to Alex Smith MVP talk. He just doesn't impress me.

Agreed! We beat what was the best team in the league coming into today, at their house, and manhandled them for the majority of the game. I will sleep like a baby tonight. Solid wins by my Steelers, Pens, and Buckeyes this weekend, I'm a happy camper!

Agree with you there, that's the only instance in this game I can remember the play calling sucked. Why are we throwing there? Put in Nix and let Bell pound it in like he'd done all day. Other than that fubar, very well done.

the reason why it was close was the glorious officials again. Debo was held two plays in a row at the end of the game, no flag. The Steelers got a big gain, flag. Just like clockwork every week, the refs let obvious calls go, but seem to call everything else under the sun. It's frustrating like Hell to watch..

Every time I see that empty set I get really really nervous.

Even if you want to throw there, at least keep the rb in the backfield to make them think, of course Bell got totally mugged on that 3rd down pass, if he's not held that's a TD, refs blew that one.
Chick didn't replace Watt, he was in for Dupree, Harrison came in for Watt

I saw once they kept Bell in the backfield and he drifted into the middle of the field, but Ben didn't go to him. Woulda been an easy pass for 6 or 7. Sometimes Ben has to be Ok just managing a drive or two. And at the same time LeVeon (who I'm sure LOVES getting those carries and yards) has to be smart enough to realize it's a really long season and he doesn't need to be killed on 3 out of every 4 snaps.

I hate starting to feel like the Steelers literally have no offense whatsoever without Bell. But honestly doesn't it start to feel that way?

Because Chickillo is smart, solid and doesn't blow assignments? He put a big rush on during force-of-nature Harrisons' big sack forcing Smith to step right into it. Thought the entire D played inspired, especially the DBs.

Yep! I just don’t get the short and goal and they call empty set bf on first down. When we have a bruiser in Nix and Lev Bell running the way he was.
Other than that, I’m happy with this win. Very impressive to go in there and beat what was an undefeated team.
And to hold them to 28 yards of offense through almost three full quarters.
Great team effort and looking forward to carrying this momentum next week against Bungals.

Very pleased with the win. Tough team tough stadium. Tons to improve. Short red zone offense is abysmal. Quit lining up pistol inside the five. They need to work a goal line package with their third back Watson. Bells style is just poorly suited to it. You go behind Decastro and Villeneava and Nix. Power football.
Oh and PS. Refs were dog **** today.

First time this season I think we've had a solid offensive and defensive game plan. The only blemish was the lack of communication on the punt that was recovered by KC. Now if we can beat teams we are supposed to beat...
