Dobbs or Jones?

LOL, never mind that you might not have a package left to do anything with after she gets done chopping away down there.

oh ****

a good point

They will never trade Mahomes, Any Reid loves him. Would love to see Smith with all the Steeler weapons, he has always played on teams lacking in weapons and now that he has the weapons he is looking incredible. He is only a year younger than ben but he has incredible quickness and elusiveness and he is a student of the game unlike Ben.

If they win the SB with Smith how do they then switch over to Mahomes and likely take a step back and maybe miss the window for a second SB?

They’d have to stick with Smith and if you are sticking with Smith for the next 3 years at least then trading Mahomes makes sense.

Smith is only under contract through the 2018 season.

Smith is 34 you don;t tradse a top 10 talent with a gun,. By the way the Pats seem to be able to hold on to Brady and Garappola after winning a Super Bowl.

Garappolo wasn’t a first round pick and doesn’t make much money.

Chiefs would have lots on money sitting on the bench if Smith is the starter for another 5 years. Also, the pats did dangle Garapolo for trades and had no takers. Nobody wanted to give a 1st round pick for him. Mahomes would easily get a 1st round offer with all his physical talents and upside.

Anyone sold on him as a long-term starter?

Our back-ups are complete ****

Without a #1 franchise QB in the wings when Ben retires you can forget about winning for a decade - it's that simple.

Tanking for a year or two should get us in the top 10 range - so that's where we'll be

I think Dobbs has a shot to replace Landry as the #2. He's smart and can probably be a decent career backup but i don't see him being a starter.

This draft seems to be loaded at QB. By the time the draft rolls around, there could be 6 QBs with 1st or borderline 1st round grades.

To answer the question..

Landry Jones.

Tomlin should of brought him in last week instead of hangin Ben out to dry..

Ben's performance was similar to the staff ace in baseball having an off night..

pull him..save his confidence and potentially his health for another day..

That makes it sound like we can grab a QB in the first or second to groom for a year or so.

Looking around the league at back ups or starters, if not in this draft who might be available for trade?

Gruden said, back when, that McCarron would be the best QB in that draft. Not sure Cin will let him go.

I've been rather enjoying the "Ben Sucks" crowd. I think they should deal with 4 or 5 seasons of Landry and then another 8 or 9 of Kent Graham.

Let's get ourselves another 14 years of sub-mediocre QB play so we can constantly ***** about how Roethlisberger hates Pittsburgh and never comes back even though this city was the best thing that ever happened to him.

It is funny how NFL teams, and indeed college teams, almost never change QB's due to performance. No matter how bad the QB is struggling, no matter the inaccuracy or interceptions, he stays in the game.

Pitchers in baseball? Hell, you give up a leadoff walk sometimes and HIT THE DUGOUT.

Little different when you have 6-8 pitchers that are all MLB caliber players and Football where you have 1 starting QB and 2 that are usually not starters up to the same level as your #1.

Hell, some of the starting QBs in the NFL aren't NFL caliber.....

We are approaching the first time Tomlin will be tasked with finding a new starting QB. Dobbs was the dress rehearsal for that. They'll get serious about a rd 1-2 qb in the next couple of years. I wouldn't mind Cousins being the placeholder, however.
