Laughable! Bottom Line Up Front: we are losing money and fans hate us. If we keep this up we will continue to ostracize the money flow and they will all turn to hockey, or worse basketball. Please tell your players to cool this **** and stand for the anthem, oh and we respect you.

He doesn't see that he is the ******* problem. He oppresses players for uniform violations practicing their first amendment rights, but allow an asshat to sit or kneel during the anthem to express his first amendment rights. But now that the government is looking at revoking their tax exemptions and the fans have sent a clear message by boycotting the shield' ***, he decides that it's in their best interest to be unified.

**** YOU and your **** show Fuehrer Goodell. Stop standing behind the shield and start standing in front of it.

LOL

Yeah not long after Trump released a statement that they should change tax law to punish the NFL. LOL. **** RG.
Or maybe the bankrupcy protection that trump hid behind while other people were burried in debt should change. Either way ******** cant get a dog leash law through little lone a tax law that would have ramifications throughout business. What a simp.

You have a lot of rage there Sask.

Did you spend a ton on money installing a glass ceiling last year?

It doesn't have to be a law to revoke tax exempt status for a single entity. The IRS revokes 501C3 status for a number of things, including lobbying and political funding to name a few. The government can find all sorts of little issues and loopholes to nail the NFL.

And the moment one man decides he can punish a business for their lawful political views you live in tyranny.

Ohdummy used the IRS to shut many businesses down, including some ammunition manufacturers.

Roger Godell is a tool of the owners who is trying to get the ship to leak less. With viewership dropping, sponsors jumping ship, and CBA renegotiation looming, the NFL is in a mess. Their unprecedented continual money making record is drying up and fast. People are NOT spending (due to wising up) as they use too. A sense of "fixed" and the rules vary for different organization and players. WHY would anyone in their right mind want this garbage to succeed??? Due to my LIFETIME commitment to the STEELERS is souly the only reason I'm still watching and that is thinning.

Sounds like Rog looked at the attendance numbers and TV ratings.

But he is not in the business of enriching terrorists.

One of the reasons I am not a fan of Goodell is that he is reactionary. He waits until the public reacts before he makes a decision and not getting out in front of the issues is just alienating fans from the game. People watch sports for entertainment and to escape a bit from the daily grind. You bring in politics, crimes, etc. into the focus rather than the game itself, of course people are going to tune out. Why wait to make a move when you know your fans are turned off?

He's always been pretty damn selective on what rules he enforces and on whom too. The MSM is figuring this out now.

There is a conduct rule in the official NFL Rulebook on the Anthem and Presentation of colors. If Roger Doger had enforced the WRITTEN RULE from the jump this is a non issue. But because Roger Doger wanted to indulge himself and excercise his dictator status he let things slide. Now fans who don't appreciate being called evil racists because of a false narrative and love this nation are bailing costing the NFL eyeballs and add revenue. Roger Doger may have just egomaniaced himself out of a job.

A few owners probably speed dialed him.

RESPONSE

rog: hello everyone, I've got you on speakerphone & recording devise. Thank you
Rooney: Hey rog, jerry, and the rest of you. By the way where is that Azzhat kraft these days??
Jerry: I'm wondering the same thing as he is quiet for this kneeling **** but loud as hell for videoing devises
rog: OK let's keep this to the point, why are you calling me?
Mora: what the **** are going to do about my team losing?
rog: Now jim we can't just go fdixing all the problems at once and all teams can't win all the time
Art: how about calling holding & PI on a fair basis
Jim: Anyone hear about the empty seats at the games............ are they paid for but just not showing up
rog: mostly paid for so that's a moot point
Jim: Roger......what's all this **** about kneeling
rog: we are waiting to see what kind of impact it is making and we don't have a real grasp on what it stands for so we feel we should open a line of communication with the players
Jerry: this is bullshit and I want my cut of stadium revenue. My boys are standing right after they kneel before the anthem. When does football start?
Artie: Let's stick top the subject about those holding calls. What are you going to do about them?

AS you can see many are clueless and still wondering how to manipulate the game. There is no REAL LEADERSHIP as to player / personal / unity amongst owners / public opinion. If the owners took a stand internally then the teams would be more disciplined outerly. There is room for protest but currently it's whomever doing whatever and the protest has slipped from what the protest was actually about. The public are who actually foot the bill, alienate the public and money flow changes. Goodell, who is suppose to be the front man of the NFL definitely is failing at that job. He is way behind as last year this should have been addressed and right now, currently he is reacting to the situation. PISS POOR from the top down. There is an OWNERS meeting coming up and there could be some positive outcome but we as the public will have to wait and see. Mean while I for one hope the financial side of this entity collapses as they have financially been giving us a subpar product for years. We the people have finally had that ONE STRAW to many that has broken the peoples back.

If the league is smart, the owners will vote next week (or whenever it is) to make players stand for the anthem. Not standing falls under "conduct detrimental to the league" so any player that whines about it can go suck it. If Rog can fine someone for wearing shoes that honor a national hero or some other nonsense, then he can fine them for not standing.

It'll be interesting to see if they do, how many still kneel and what the fines will be as players have done things in the past knowing they would be fined.

The league can fine them for the first instance - a much larger fine for the 2nd instance - a one game suspension without pay for the 3rd and so on. I can't see any player getting to the point of suspension. The cash is too important to them.
