And figure out what's wrong with Dupree

Deep analysis of how to beat Kansas City?

quite impressive

Eh,

The defense is doing decent Coach.
Bend but don't break. They do enough to win.

Harrison was working out earlier today. So weird to see him working out on gameday.

I don't think Harrison or Big Dan will help Ben from doing his best Flacco impression...

Steelers are now a finesse D that plays in spurts for practicing their dance moves and go limp in the 4th qtr. They get physically manhandled at the end of games like boys among men.

They are soft, can't stop the run and yes, Bud is another in a long line of spindly legged underachiever LB's that get pancaked by RB's

Deebo plays the other side but you can't tell me he hasn't been here long enough and knows the defense well enough that he couldn't make the switch.

ok now you are getting slightly better

go on

what else?

I really felt the Steelers found their way with power football vs the Ravens.

Haley abandoned the run, which is where Jacksonville was weak.

Start McDonald. Turn him into Mark Bruener. Play Nix more. He blows guys up. Suddenly Bell will be very good again.

Now mix in some play action and kick any WR's @ss for tipped passes become interceptions.

Also whomever is Ben's best friend needs to take him out for beers. Brett Keisel did it once after a bad day vs the Eagles.

Dress Harrison. He's still a leader. Also give big Dan a hat. He's tough to move and there is s need for that.

So what do you think?

Well when your Top ILB and top NT are just okay when teams run at you and your safeties are not great tacklers...you are weak up the middle v

I think the whole team has consistently been inconsistent.

Part of that I blame on the baby soft preseason they took on. I realize the injury side of things. But you also sharpen that sword.

I think the run D still has too many contain issues. I think the pass D still hasn't been tested.

On O where do you not start? Ben has been inconsistent, And so has everyone else associated with the O, outside of Antonio.

Haley does about the opposite of that makes sense in game planning or lack there of.

Without Gilbert you get a little too much pressure caving in that pocket, and DeCastro needs to pass protect better.

I think you have to bring back Eli, as maybe the few weeks off will spark him. And we know we can use the spark.

Bryant perhaps needs to lose a little of that muscle, because so far it hasn't made him shiftier or more explosive. Or hell even as explosive as he was showing.

Maybe even bring back Hamilton, at this point hell.

Run against a weak run team , mix in short to medium range passes. Hell I have seen enough not to want to see the deep pass, until it is fined tuned.

Pass to set up the run too, again short to medium range passes.

Do not throw to McDonald, use him like a blocker. Like Spaeth.

Pass heavy team throw in some pass blitzing. Run heavy team throw in some run blitzing.

Throw a TEAM meeting.

Men from this day forward their is no stat pimping, no water coolers, no hiding out in tunnels.

There is NO I, we leave I's on the table after we walk out of this meeting.

There is only a team, we need to play like a team. As nobody is being consistent.

Moving forward let us see how consistent we can be.

The bad it is over. Put it behind you but don't forget it.

Let it fuel your fire.

Embrace the suck.

Get angry, because we have not played good enough.

Stop forcing passes. WRS let s get in out of those breaks cleaner.

O-line let's hold those blocks a second longer. In the pass and the run.

D keep your gap assignment, and focus and attack. Wrap up.

Deebo get's a hat against run teams, and I sit the team down WED with a long film study. LONG, nobody gets the day off.

Time for some changes...........

I'd be all for playing Deebo in place of Vince Williams. We need a plugger in the middle. How many of those runs were right up the middle?

We went all in on "athletic" LB's that can cover the pass but get knocked on their ***** up the gut - Shazier is the only one that produces but U know he'll get hurt again soon by the way he plays

The D line is full of dancing bears that make one play every 3 games

KC will run the ball down their throats, I predict

On that long run at the end of the game,, Shazier stepped up into the hole but got trapped by the right guard. V. Williams made a bad read and floated left at first and took himself out of the play. So did the safety.

IDK how they make a bad read on that. Right guard pulled to the play side.. The full back went straight for the hole,, followed by the Tail back.. WTF are they reading that they couldn't see that.

To me. The team looks like they don't practice. Seriously. IDK the ins and outs of the CBA, but **** . They look like they don't practice.

Dupree has been a disappointment. He looks like he is trying to think to much. Frankly he looks unimpressive like Jarvis did.

Mike Mitchell is an idiot. Tired of his ****.

The offense.. Ben had a bad day. Maybe this will spark something. Conner: He is ok to run some plays and give Bell a break. But his pass blocking sucks ***.

Haley. IDK if it would have turned out diferent if we didn't have 5 turnovers. two being pick 6's. But this whole 1 yd screen or shovel,,,,, then 25 yd long pass is stupid. Maybe the Jax CB's are just that good. But there are rarely mid rage 7-15 yd throws.

Over all I think like spike says. They are soft. These aren't Hampton Farrior and Ward.

Big Dan? More like the Big Fluff. Amazing how soft a man that large is. Inserting McCullers into the line up isn't going to help. Lest we forget that Jacksonville wasn't having much success on the ground before their one drive, and then the 90 yard run where it looked like the defense said "**** it." Also, for as weak as Jacksonville may be against the run, they were doing a pretty good job of shutting it down yesterday. Bell averaged just over 3 ypc.

I agree with most of this.

Yeah, they need to quit dancing and posing after every routine tackle. Burns did a touchdown celebration after he gave up a first down conversion, the one that Coach Dipshit challenged and lost. Or maybe it Mitchell, idgaf, it needs to stop. It's embarrassing. Especially when they're getting their ***** handed to them.

Fixed it for you

Deebo needs to dress. Big Dan not so much. Our D line is very good when they actually have them in the game. The problem is we only use 2 DL so much of the time. We have one of the best starting 3 in the NFL with good backups this year. There is no reason ever to only have 2 DL in the game. Heyward, Tuitt and Hargrave should be in on most snaps with the backups giving them a breather. Coaching is horrible on this. They haven't learned in 3 years of this crap with only 2 D linemen in the game.

I think and have though for a whlie, dress McCullers and run a 4/3 with him and Hargrave in the middle on obvious running situations. Watt and someone else outside and Shazier in the middle. Not sold on Dupree, Deebo is the man, but age may have taken its toll. May not be necessary if the super-duper 30+ point per game offense would get their heads out of their *****...

****** bring back the 3-3-5
DE Alualu
DT Hargrave
DE Heyward
OLB Tuitt
MLB Shazier
OLB Watt
LB/DB Davis
CB Burns
CB Haden
FS Mitchell
SS Wilcox

Tuitt can't play OLB. He is too slow to cover anyone. Move him up instead of Alualu and put Bud in. They aren't using their D-line or OLB's properly. They expect 2 DL and 2 OLB's to rush and cover on passing plays. You can't have it both ways. You need 3 D-linemen rushing on every damn play to free up a lanes for one or both of the OLB's to go after the QB. Butler got rid of that and it isn't working. As much as some hate Bud, he has been injured again this year but has also flashed at times. Use he and Watt with 3 DL on every play and I GUARANTEE we get even better production and better run stopping. On passing downs, you take Williams out and put in an extra DB. Shazier is fast enough to cover a TE or a RB. That leaves Watt or Bud to drop back also with one rushing. Or rush both for a 5 man rush and 6 men in coverage.
