"Maybe I don't have it anymore"-Ben

man I remember 2004 like it was yesterday..... what a great time to be a steeler fan
 
In his mind...he was done last year. Truth is, he wants one more SB ... seven from #7. Lasts years defeat hurt real bad for him, you could see it in his eyes. He felt his team was good enough and is good enough for one more run at it.

I think he feels it slipping away.
 
He should be ****** with the coaches more than with himself. He’s still got it. Jax secondary played an awesome game. When you consistently draft in the top 5 for a decade and make good free agent signings you are going to be good eventually, unless you’re Cleveland. There were tips, bats and WR slips on the picks, plus some forced throws. The main reason they got waxed today was because of god awful coaching and game planning. This was the polar opposite of the collosal **** up against the Ravens in the playoffs a few years ago when they continuously tried to run it up the middle on the league’s best run defense instead of exploiting their suspect secondary. Tomlin idententfies a team’s strongest asset and attacks it, instead of targeting their weakness. This is an undeniable fact, and reason enough for him to be fired.
 
He said that ridiculous **** to get attention, you have to realize that don't you? He's one of the best Steelers to ever lace them up, but he has to stop with the media nonsense. First and foremost talking about his teammates to them.
 
Ben is slow and takes forever to set up and throw, It is a thinking mans game when you lose your physical gifts and Ben has never been a student of the game or a quick thinker. His fall of the cliff is what a lot of people expected when he physically declined.

Yeah if he was playing lights out. He isnt. So keep your mouth shut and play better

LOL! of course he does! I'm talking about his actions on the field. Coaching staff? I agree some play calling is suspect, but coaches are not out there throwing INT's, missing tackles. Canton? There are a few Steelers out there that deserve to hit Canton before Ben ever does.

just maybe he doesn't have it in him...

I don't see his comeback ability front and center anymore..

We can debate everything we want, but that can't be out of the realm of a possibility....

That would be nice and he could start by turning us back into a run first team. 3 yards and a cloud of dust and play defense and field position

Yeah, and it is slipping because of himself to start with. 5 games in, has this offense showed any improvement at all from week 1?

In case you haven’t noticed our OL has been abysmal in run blocking. Bell has been as inconsistent as Ben. We let D-Will walk in favor of Conner, and he has been inconsistent in his limited carries. How exactly do we build a run first team when we have a weak foundation. Combine that with Bell having been injured pretty much every season. We are not set up to be a power running team and we don’t have the weapons right now to be a pass happy team.

By going out and doing it. No one said we are going to score everytime. Punt and play field position. Defense will be more rested and hopefully make more plays. And hopefully we will wear teams down. Because right now all this shotgun finesse isnt working. Line up in the I formation and wear teams down
