Really? I thought this was over FU Vince

Truth, they avoid the situation and people burn jerseys? It was akin to Switzerland picking a side in a world war...

I wonder truly just how many people actually burned their STEELERS gear?????? Those that did will feel remorse and realize it was all over political BS and of course buy new gear and support the nfl again. I won't hold any ill feeling of a bad decision made in hast and then reversing that decision.

Salute the nation

No it wasn't. The ******* Swiss have played both sides for centuries.
This was regular folks expressing opinions. Good or bad, open and direct, not calculating and Machiavellian like the "neutral" swissy

Swiss held all the money of Europe. And their neutrality ensured that no matter which side won, the money would still be there. How else does a country, surrounded on all sides by warring nations, stay intact?

No they didn't. They held the black boxes of the folks that had no better options.
Where did the German goverment move the spoils of war?

The regular people, yes they moved assets to Swissy. But if the Germans had won, that was gone, obviously.

There is a difference between neutral and amoral.

Too bad Vince wasn't this full of piss and vinegar when Jordan Howard was running all over the Steelers defense.

In other words, Vince, shut the **** up and try to do what you're paid to do a little better than you're f'n doing it right now.

I don't agree with it, but won't mock them behind what they felt was disrespect.

But if they had a lick of sense they would have just mailed me their Steeler memorabilia.

It would have saved them smoke inhalation.

Anyways Vince has enough worries with his game, than to be worried about a few disgruntled Steeler fans.

I hope it's not fake news. I agree, if you burned it, **** off and go root for the Browns.

That makes zero sense.
The browns were one of the first teams to protest. Did it during the preseason which was met with disdain by many browns fans

Being Browns fans, these protests surely makes it easier to for them to make the decision to burn their gear.

I agree with him. Bandwagon is closed. Don't jump on it when they win the division.

I don't agree with these people burning their ****, but I understand it...obviously being more passionate about the country in which they live than they are about football.

What these people don't understand or aren't accepting is that the Steelers intent was not to show disrespect but rather to remove themselves from the bullshit....which backfired obviously.

Jumping off or on the bandwagon has to do with wins and losses. **** those people.

These fans can come back to the fold anytime they like. They are not classified as bandwagon fans.

That's why I was going to wait at least a week and see what they did next. No one took me up on my offer to relieve them of their season tickets. Not going to throw away 48 years of fandom over the team's actions of one week or the QB kinda sorta maybe sexually assaulting willing women. I buy MT's above-the-neck thought process and explanation, if you will, although the public perception did not match the intent of the men on that particular week's journey in this thing we call the game of football, obviously.

If the Steelers' fumbled attempt at avoiding controversy pisses you off enough to burn your gear, you're a stupid MF'er... Come on, get a life....

If "intent" has ever mattered from the beginning of this thing, we wouldn't be talking about this at all

I dunno that it is up to Williams in any way shape or form. You wanna be dumb enough to watch your money go up in smoke (cause thats what you are doing) and then lack the conviction to stand by your actions and spend more money to get back what you just burned...thats your choice not Vince Williams or anyone else.Just seems a bit hypocritical to me. You as a team made a statement by staying in the tunnel it came out all convoluted which is a shame but it was a statement none the less. The locking arms is a statement guys on their knee and sitting is a statement. So its ok for you in the NFL to make statements but not the fans?

I just thought of something if the NFL sinks low enough in interest maybe they can roll back a bunch of the garbage thats ruined it.
