Coach, that is a good question. I was to lazy to look up the ratio but visually watching the games I could see the LOW count. I think that defenses are out patienting Mr. Bell. That patient style of running was what earned him his respect. Currently I think he has a little ways yet to get in FOOTBALL shape so that is not helping. His patient style will work better once he regains his football shape burst but until then he is average or near to it. ALSO I think our OC needs work on being a OC. He seems to call to the strength of opposing team instead of to their weaknesses. Our players are talented enough to go against any "D" but it continuously seem Haley isn't calling to our stregnth and trying to FORCE our will onto opponents. So in answer to your question I think it's both because of Bell's ineffectiveness and Haley's piss poor play calling.

Yeah I know what the perception is, but I am only buying that we saw a rusty Bell and a O-line still in preseason form. WIth their share of injuries.
More reps Bell gets and the healthier that O-line gets the better outcomes will be.

If you are a star player and can't break out vs the lowly Browns or Bears...
A big game will quiet doubts. Another non impact game with 25 percent of the season over...
Today is the day Bell busts loose. Calling close to 200 yards on the ground and air, with 2TDs. Call it a combo of him getting back to shape/form, the line getting better, and Haley ******* calling his number more.
Not bad iron. Not bad.
We also handed him the ball on, I believe, every first down in the 2nd half. I guess that offsets him not getting it on 3rd downs.
