Thoughts on J.J. Wilcox

I feel he tried to go head to head with that Olineman he would have lost that battle.

my thoughts on jj is he is an upgrade from last year but he is no Sean Davis

probably, but you have to love the depth upgrades. Colbert earned that paycheck this year.

You couldn't be more wrong. The Bears ran away from his side the whole game and on the big play that looked like his error, it was a teammate that missed the gap. Chickillo is a great player and person, a real asset to the Steelers. He is tied for 5th in the NFL in sacks (leads his team) and is 3rd in tackles. He gives it everything he has every play, even on STs. Its the offense that is the problem.

He is outplaying Watt. Chickillo is gonna make the probowl if he keeps it up. Probably one of the most loved teammates; smart as hell, tough, who gives it everything he has even on STs unlike some of these big money players. You call yourself "Coach"? What a joke. Let the season play out some more before you start disowning Steelers, especially big-hearted over-achievers like Chickillo.

Is this Chickillo's agent?

Chick is a nice depth guy, but let's be serious. Big part of that 200+ yards this past Sunday was because of his inability to respect his assignments. Too many times did I see him "patty-caking" it with their RT, 4-5 yards down the LOS. He didn't wash down the line at all, and played an individual style of defense. Not saying that any other 'backer didn't do this either, but Chick was most noticeable. Also, did anyone else notice how every time the Bears did the "fake" end-around to the receiver, the defense bit each, and every time? The whole defense swarmed to the receiver so as to not be burned by it, but left the middle more wide open than a hookers legs on payday. The defense as a whole was uncharacteristically out of sorts on Sunday. Yes, they're not some badass, shut down unit; but they are better than that.

I thought he was Coach from several months ago....Chickillo is going to be starting over Harrison!

I've known about him since H.S. (was hoping he would play alongside Clowney at USC) and from what I've heard, his parents are fine people. Don't forget that, even though I'm not his Dad or Mom, many do read these boards and are hurt when you bash or smear a player. Especially ones that love living in Pittsburg and playing for the Steelers and not just to cash a check.

I saw Chickillo beat UF almost by himself. The guy is amazing, especially when you let him attack instead of playing a soft zone like he did at Miami.

Kill the Ravens!!!

outplaying Watt? sure, Watt is injured, Jarvis would be outplaying him too

Wilcox has a bad habit of tackling real high. he missed to tackles today because of it. but all least he puts himself in good position

I think he isn't the filling the run type guy as he is a pass protector. But I think he is a upgrade over anyone we had backing up Mitchell as of late.
