Ben Roethlisberger released a statement on Monday afternoon via his web site – BigBen7.com

I was unable to sleep last night and want to share my thoughts and feelings on our team’s decision to remain in the tunnel for the National Anthem yesterday. The idea was to be unified as a team when so much […]

Sounds about like what Brees said. Villanueva is selling jerseys like crazy, so Ben missed the bandwagon there...

Here we go Villanueva here we go !

A true American!

god bless the soldiers who lost their lives, I will always stand and pay tribute to them and their pursuit of freedom !

Villanueva was the only man in the bunch. Players can say what they want today yesterday they showed themselves in not a very good light.

Ben seems apologetic, I can forgive.

Ben should have grown some balls yesterday.

I agree that the players (besides 78) were cowardly yesterday. With that said, we should be willing to forgive. We all do stupid, arrogant things at times. And if a person can admit they handled something wrong, and correct it, great. Now if we have to keep dealing with this **** over and over, that's a different story.

It's not easy. Just imagine if you are at work and your boss's boss tells you to do something with tremendous power over you that includes termination or being in a doghouse.

And half the team looking at you funny if you cross over the line.

It's not easy to speak out on the spot. At least Ben made a revision.

Now the team has some real issues and dare I say a few teammates don't like each other now.

Look--Families, friends, and co-workers know darn well not to shove their political views in the other's faces. Steeler players are no different.

It will never happen with Art Rooney and Tomlin's new deal but if the team falls short and does not make the playoffs, he should be FIRED.

The passive agrressive agenda must be pushed

You do realize they made the decision on what to do as a team right? Some times you regret decisions you make, that is life.
